Used once but worked great.
So my mask came quick and undamaged. It does use a watch battery which was nice to see because some reviews said it did not. Functionally it adjust fast. There was really no assembly at all. It is a bit flimsy but I payed 40$ for a welding mask not expecting 200$ value, just be gentle with. I have not had an issue with the adjusting wheel but I did take my time with everything after reading others concerns and issues with the design. I would say it is worth it. My father law who is a professional welder said it was worth a shot for hobbies.

Gets the job done comfortably
Purchased for daughters first year in the welding program at school. Works well, fits comfortably (even with her long hair tied up) and lasted all year and plans to use again next year. She said she definitely recommends

Battery powered instrument that greatly aids welding visibility.
I received auto-darkening welding helmet within 3 business days. I checked the self-test feature and it works well. I haven't used this helmet for welding yet, but will soon and will update this rating.

Great value
Great value! I’ve used this a fee times with my TIG welder at around 130A and had no issue with the level of protection. The darkening feels instantaneous, and the viewing window size is perfectly fine. I like the test button inside the mask to let you make sure darkening works before starting the arc.The material is a flexible plastic, which feels pretty durable. Ive been using it in my garage in the winter in upstate NY, and expected the plastic to get more brittle or fragile from the cold, but it hasnt. It feels reasonably durable, but the hinges are made of a hard plastic that feels like theyll be the first thing to break. The size of the helmet and head band is great. It’s very adjustable, and ive worn it on my bare head (hat size medium) and with a thick winter hat on (extra in diameter) with no trouble. The only sticking point is when you raise the mask, the hinges lock lightly in place to keep it open, but are a little weak. The mask tends to fall down if you move your head too much. Maybe i need to tighten the hinges or something, but that’s my only real complaint. For $40, it’s hard to beat the value.

Good price. Poor customer Service
I bought the highly review LY500 helmet as part of a suite of contraptions to begin my new hobby. The helmet was easy to figure out and adjust, but on my 2nd attempt at stick welding, it went black, and stayed black. I adjusted to sensitivity, delay and level on the helmet, all to no avail, so I decided it was time to try YesWelder Product Support.I found the website, signed up for an account and briefly described my issue on their online support. The following day, I rec'd a response with an apology for the issue, but before they could help me, they would need an "order number or email associated with your YESWELDER account. Or if you have purchased it through Amazon or eBay, let us know the order number, please so we can forward this to our affiliated customer support.".I replied to their email with a message of disappointment about being inconvenienced with a defective product (which of course, sometimes happens...) but being additionally inconvenienced by not being offered any solutions to try (since I am a first time user) or even simply being told to return the product to the place of purchase. My email was met with a reply from YesWelder Support doubling-down on needing the order # before offering any support (and we continued this ridiculous "dance" for another iteration or two before I simply replied that I was returning the product for a full refund since customer support couldn't help me).Didn't feel like I was requesting anything unreasonable since the product didn't seem to be working as designed, and I'm sure the customer support person was following guidelines set by her employer but still, not offering any suggestions that might encourage me to keep their product and purchase from them again in the future seems a bit misdirected for both the consumer and ultimately YesWelder.
