Good value for home pc
This machine works great for whatever tasks I need it to do. I'm using it as a home server in my case, but it looks like all the components are in good shape to last as long as possible. These Optiplexes are known for being a reliable Windows pc, and it shows even after being refurbished. Only time will tell the real truth of longevity, but for now, this works amazing for my purposes.

Dell Optiplex 5060 Tower Desktop - 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 runs great FedEx shipping stinks
The computer both looks and runs great. I did run the Windows 10 Pro it comes with, which immediately wanted to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro, which I let it do that. Then I pulled that 512GB SSD that has the Windows 11 on it out, after I had set it on my Microsoft account for digital activation, and put my 2TB SSD I had Windows 10 Pro on, which soon became Windows 11 Pro, that I had bought the Win 10 Pro key, and did the Microsoft account addition, I also put my 2TB SSD I have Linux Mint 22 on in it, that's when I realized the setup was wrongly done by the 'Renewer' They had it set in the BIOS/UEFI as set for RAID capabilities, and only having one drive in it doesn't make sense, I had to enable Safe mode by command line, then restart and go directly into the BIOS/UEFI and set the drives to AHCI like it should have been done at the 'Renew' place, then it booted fine, and rebooted again to take it out of Safe mode by command line. I pulled out the two RAM sticks(16GB) and put my 4 sticks in to have 64GB of RAM, I put my video card in that doesn't require a power plug it runs on the bus power, great card, Asus GTX 1650 4GB goes perfect with this machine because it's short, and requires no power plug, I put my sound card in and I put my new wireless PCIe WiFi 7 card in it, and I have 4Gbps speed to my router which is a great TP-Link WiFi 7 router with all 2.5GbE ports on it. The CPU on this is great, 6 cores 12 threads i7-8700. I didn't realize that this tower is small, but not a SFF. I'm glad it has a USB C port on front. What is not a good thing is that there is not a USB header on the motherboard to plug into for the BlueTooth on my PCIe card. It didn't come with the M.2 2230 Intel 9560 card, which was a shame, they did send a USB wireless dongle, so you can still connect. The M.2 2230 slot has an 'E' key, so an Intel BE200 card would fit in there fine, or an AX200/210 would fit as well. I did that on my MiniPC. This also has an M.2 2280 for an NVMe, This machine runs great, and looked brand new, I just wish they wouldn't have used FedEx shipping, I'm not a fan of them. The sellers Tech Magnet were great, and they didn't do the 'Renew' they are just the sellers, so they can't be blamed for the BIOS/UEFI incorrect setup initially. This is a good machine, buy it. Edit: I changed out to an Intel BE200 WiFi 7 card because the other one had a MediaTek chip in it with zero Linux support. The BE200 is faster too, 5.7 Gbps to the router. Also a PCIe x1 #1 slot is junk, I had a sound card in it, and it had all sorts of noise through it, put my WiFi 7 card in that slot and Windows Bluescreened with an error for that PCIe x1 # 1 slot. I did put an Intel BE200 card in the M.2 slot that the original wireless was in and the computer didn't come with, just some low powered nano USB junk so they can say it's wireless. The M.2 slot works, but I muffed up one of the tiny connectors on the wire that connect to the card chip same as like on a laptop, so I ordered another 2 pack of the wires, I have a plate they attach to to connect the external antenna to. Knocking two stars off for the junk PCIe x1 #1 slot. Oh they had installed the garbage LogMeIn I suppose to help people fix problems, I suggest you uninstall that right away, because you shouldn't willingly give someone complete control over your machine like that, bad stuff. The 512GB SSD it comes with is no name junk, it works, but it's a low end SSD, I have a 2TB Silicon Power SSD and a 2TB Teamgroup SSD in it, and a 4TB Seagate Ironwolf spinning rust, I'm having to use my Vantec USB sound card that is 7.1/5.1 because this machine only has a single stereo output, but I knew that when I bought it, and that's why I put my sound card in it, but with the junk/bad PCIe x1 #1 slot I have to use the USB sound card for surround.
