works great!
I love this shampoo. I used to buy the Suave charcoal shampoo, but can’t find it anymore. Prell is even better. It gets my hair super clean, makes it soft and it is so much cheaper than most shampoos. I have very long, medium-thick, medium-fine hair, with a bit of wave. I don’t have an oily scalp, but my hair just needs washing every other day. Prell is great! The scent is very subtle, I don’t like scents usually, but this is okay. Don’t use if you need a scent-free shampoo.

Come to isle of green
This was a really good deal they were priced right so I bought three bottles. This is a excellent shampoo that gets your hair very clean. You do not use very much just a small amount, gently work it in, and rinse it out of your hair. It will not build up in your hair if you use it sparingly rinsing thoroughly. Your hair will be shiny, soft, and smelling clean with that nice smell of this shampoo. This is a real classic shampoo that hasn't changed and has been around forever. It has a really rich thick lather that no other shampoo has. Strong enough to remove stains from clothing just pre treat with this shampoo and wash in the washing machine it doesn't damage fibers. You can hand wash your delicate clothing using a sparing amount and it rinses out.Fun fact if you look up the old commercials on YouTube for Prell Shampoo one of the ladies who starred in a James Bond film Maude Adams is in the commercial titled - Come to isle of green - Liquid Prell Shampoo - (1973)

Wow, Prell is still around! Beware confusing labeling and controversial ingredients
Before my hairdresser recently recommended Prell, I didn't think this was around anymore; I just remember the t.v. ads from when I was a little girl. Nope, still around. And to make things more interesting is that this is a very polarizing, sometimes controversial shampoo. When my hairdresser recommended Prell, I was hesitant to try it because I tend to use beauty products that are derived from "natural" ingredients, without parabens, sulfates, alcohol. I have color treated, fine hair but lots of it; although it is naturally wavy, it has been limp and I've been trying to find ways to get more volume. It was suggested to me, aside from putting in some layers, that Prell would get rid of mineral build-up which has been part of the no volume proble. Needless to say, Prell is quite the opposite of my other shampoos so I read up reviews and opinions on it. Bottom line, people seem to either absolutely love it or hate it. The most controversial ingredient is Cocamide MEA, a surfactant derived from coconut oil. A surfactant makes shampoo foamy and adds viscosity. Even though it's derived from the much loved natural product coconut oil does not give it an automatic ride on safety or effectiveness. Do some research into this notorious ingredient and make an informed decision. From what I've gathered, Cocamide MEA in low concentrations has little to none toxicity when used dermally/topically in a non- vapor form. This is especially so in formulas that are promptly rinsed off. Prell also contains ingredients that have been known to strip color which for some people is the biggest issue. BecauseI only wash my hair 1-2 times a week I decided to try using it every third shampoo, just to get rid of build-up and goo in my hair. When I went to order Prell, I was little overwhelmed because there isn't just one type anymore and to make matters worse the same formulation is shown coming with both a white cap and a blue cap. I ordered Classic Prell with the blue top. I received Prell Classic Clean with a white top! The ingredients are the same from what I can tell. But one star off for that confusion. So far, I have found I only needed a quarter-size amount to get lots of lather on my shoulder length hair. My hair was squeaky clean and did have more volume after using Prell. The smell is refreshing while using it but not long-lasting. I don't find it drying but that may be different for those who wash their hair more often. So far, it hasn't stripped color out either. Again, this may be different for those that use it more often. I will continue to only use it every few washes and be on the lookout for color fading.

You will be pleasantly surprised!
I’ve purchased all kinds of expensive shampoos, all claiming to give fullness, body etc but was really was never satisfied with any of them. Searching Amazon for yet another shampoo I saw Prell.. hadn’t used it since my childhood/teen days. I thought I’d try it and for the price, had nothing to lose. I was VERY happy I did! The scent is great and left my hair actually feeling clean, fuller and with body! Used FAR, FAR LESS mousse while blow drying the top and crown. And no flyaways. THIS inexpensive shampoo is a keeper!! Thank you Prell .. A+
