We keep this on subscription for my golden doodle. She stays healthy with it. For 35 lb dog we feed 1 cup every 12 hours. She loves it.

Usually the adult lamb and rice I've been buying for 1 year now is 5 stars and just right for my dog but this one was refunded from the bag changing from sturdy paper for 40lbs to plastic, there was a 3 inch slit down the front and a small hole up top in the seal. Disappointed to say the least. Now my dog is chewing all her paws showing signs of allergies and I'm not sure if it's the food or not. I'm really hoping not, she seems to have stopped recently. I will try again soon buying this so fingers crossed it's not necessary to change dog food.*Update 1 month later*Dog is chewing her paws more than ever and is no longer in a rush to eat any food. I add a small spoon of cold pressed cocunut oil and that usually grabs her interest and she'll eat half and the other half the next day or later in the day.So just for reference I got her, a German shepherd husky mix at 4 months old and started with the puppy lamb and rice, 5 stars perfect food to start a good diet. Changed to adult breed lamb and rice especially after noticing her sensitive stomach to chicken if I was in a crunch and had to give her a little of a chicken based brand.And now it's hard to know what to do when she let's half the food sit in the bowl all day. I may have to try something else for a month or two after telling all my friends to try this and some have, it's much better quality than a cheap store brand like the one that starts with a 'P' and ends with 'E', or has pro tagged on like that's supposed to make it any better? Cringe and beg those people to switch to this and try the lamb if they have a sensitive stomach. Her paws are red and scabby and it's hard to pin point why but they have never looked like this. When she is bored she plays fetch or chews on a bone so that would be a shame if it's a new bad bored habit.Please comment if you've noticed a difference or if there is a recall? I'm really not sure but I do still believe this is 4 stars and I'll finish the bag over the next couple weeks and update again in November. Believe me I don't want to change brands and I'm still uncertain about ordering anther plastic bag, it might be lucky with no holes so I'll see if there are any other factors because she has no fleas and is up to date on shots and is almost 2.**2nd update 2 weeks after**My dog is eating more regularly and no longer chewing on her paws, I never wanted to switch and I don't think I will now. Looking forward to buying my next bag as usual and hopefully it ships well.

We rescued a puppy from a back yard breeder situation & she came to us a bit underweight with horrible skin that was uncomfortable for her. She had been on a poor-quality food before we got her & her skin remained poorly until we finally transitioned her fully over to Diamond Naturals. We gave oatmeal baths and integrated this higher quality food into her diet and her skin cleared up over a few weeks & she's gaining weight with cleared vet checks all around. We also transitioned our 8yr old dog to Diamond Naturals at the same time as well just to streamline things & she's thriving on it.
