Haitian Creole Phrasebook: Essential Expressions for Communicating in Haiti

Very, very helpful as I work through it.
There’s nothing I don’t like about it. I started by doing Duolingo, online language tool, but I back it up with this book because it’s a more serious and thorough study, with lots .of cultural advice and discussion. It has lots of conjugation and grammatical explanation as well, which I appreciate. I haven’t downloaded the audio yet, but hope to. Thanks to these ambitious and caring authors, and thanks to Amazon.

Big help on Mission Trip
This book definately helped me when I went to Haiti for a medical mission trip. I had an interpretor but I had to borrow the book from him because he was using it to look up American phrases! I left it with him at the end of my time there because he liked it so much. It was easy to use and also contained a lot of medical terminology which assisted me in explaining what we were doing and why as patients came through the clinic.

haitian creole phrasebook
Recommended for people who are ready to go to Haiti for mission/medical/educational trip orlike myself to learn and to communicate better with my Haitian Creole (Kreyol) speaking ESL students.Well organized, very easy to use and plenty of references. Simple everyday conversations and also includesbasic medical conditions/terms.Someone had said, "Creole: say it as it is written", he probably meant it's nothing like English Language orFrench i.e. it's phonetically written language thus every letter must be pronounced. I'm learninga bit by bit. Good luck!

Good book
I’m American married to a Haitian for 11 years. This phrase book has helped me more than any other book. Still not fluent, but these phrases help a lot!

Get it!
If you're into foreign languages, I think you'd like this! I carry this around with me a lot, and I like the phrases in it. It's easy to follow along in! :) I would recommend buying a Creole CD to get an idea of how the language flows. I have yet to download anything, though.

Very Good book to take with you for a trip
This book was a big help to me when I went to Haiti on a mission trip. We did have interpreters which also reinforced what I was learning in the book. I like the down loadable from the web site of the publisher which spoke the word in English and then sounded out the word and correct pronunciation in Haitian Creole. In fact the book was such a big help to me in me learning Haitian Creole that I gave this book to a young Haitian man that was learning English. He was excited when I gave him the book he thanked me over and over again. This book was a blessing to me and the young Haitian man(Amile). So now I need to buy another copy!!!Thank YouM.A.Fragassi
