Bodum Barista Coffee and Food Scale with Built-in Timer, 6 in. x 5 in., Black

I spent hours looking for a kitchen scale specifically for use with my pour over coffee. The reviews on Amazon are so mixed, it's impossible to make a sound decision. I purchased 3 total: 2 very highly reviewed, and then this one, that I ended up keeping. So, here are my thoughts on the Bodum scale. Pros and cons in my opinion:Pros:I know and like the brand, and Bodum makes products specific for coffeeNo obvious, obnoxious branding on the productVery simple faceEasy lighting on the screen (not neon blue like many others), numbers very easy to readPretty accurate- I weighed the same items 5+ times, and readings were within 0.5g of each otherUp to a certain weight, it reads to 1/10 of a gram. Not sure where the cutoff is, but for my mug (at 170g), it was only by 0.5 increments at that pointDesigned for coffee. When making pour over, other scales would jump all over the place as I poured the water. This one reads smoothly and reliably.Cons:Doesn't come with batteries (3 AAA)Plastic constructionNeutral:Only reads g/ml. I knew this and don't mind, but if you're hoping for oz or other units, it's not there.No button feedback. Buttons are touch, and readily responsive, but depends if you prefer to have tangible feedback.The "T" starts and pauses the timer; the "on" button tares the scale or turns off when you hold it down.Red silicone top is red, not pink-tinged like some pics imply.Overall nice scale, simple, small, easy to store, and accurate enough for my needs. A bit on the expensive side for plastic construction without included batteries, but, I had purchased a couple other scales in the $20-30 price range that I ultimately wasn't happy with the level of accuracy.

Great for making coffee anywhere, specially while travel because of its small size

The scale is awesome. Shows grams in .1 increments. It also does have oz, just have to click a button on the bottom to change from grams to oz.

I'm a fan of Bodum, as I have their burr grinder. So I knew I would like their scales, and I do. Nice weight to it. Heavier than most its size, and it fits my 8 cup Chemex perfectly.

The item I received was labeled Made in China, so I returned it without trying

Bought at a local market for two reasons: looks nice, timer and brand with cheaper price. I intented to use it for coffee but it is extremely insensitive and the resolution is actually 0.5.
