Saves a lot of time and aggrivation
If you use drop in anchors you might wonder why this wasn't manufactured before. You have to have some means of removing almost all the dust form the hole, which is a good idea anyway. I used to put a flap of tape around the drill bit to gauge the depth and it would whisk away the dust from the hole, a tab of tape on the shoulder of this bit will do the same and keep the dust from falling back into the hole.

A necessity if you are putting drop in anchors in concrete.
Perfect tool to install drop in anchors. No need to put tape on your masonry bit, the stop is built in. I would highly recommend this drill bit for anyone who installs drop ins in concrete. Seems to stay sharp, I also recommend the Giotto's rocket air blaster pump ball for blowing out the concrete dust.
