All the black you need but you have been warned.
As always lets get the problem out first this ink is hard to clean in pen and I mean it. Also it being a carbon ink means that you will require to clean and maintain your pen at much frequent intervals than normal thus the warning of title. Now good bits and there are alot for those who can get over cleaning.First its a carbon ink and will work on most papers infact it has less bleed than my Sheaffer skrip black.Second its permanent ink, tried water, vinegar, soda and alcohol non work so yeah your writing is gonna be safe.Third is color, simply put is dark black with no hint of grey or violet (looking at you skrip).Fourth, this may vary from user and pen but the ink has high flow meaning to say is wet writer. It has good dry time on most papers (I use simple A4 sheets and registers).Last value.....for me it was worth the money I spend as I needed waterproof ink and the dark black is very nice plus considering that a bottle lasts long I can be confident of investment. Go try if you can but be warned cleaning will require you a lot of effort.

highly recommend for watercolour and calligraphy artists alike
Comes with a reservoir inside the bottle, the ink stands true to the quote “Darker then your heart”. Got this for sketching and I see why this is infamously popular with other artists. Unlike Indian inks this dries a bit slower (takes 40 seconds if you’re writing) but once it does, it is rather waterproof and is permanent. Can be worked with watercolours and does not smudge. Will highly recommend for watercolour and calligraphy artists alike.

Ink that's darker than the void in your heart.
Been using this ink in my TWSBI ECO extra fine nib pen as an experiment.Expected it to cause clogging issues since it's an EF nib and this is a carbon based ink. To my surprise there have been 0 issues. Also, it's absolutely waterproof and is one of the darkest inks out there(beaten only by platinum chou kuro ink). So it's absolutely fantastic for sketches and artwork with watercolour washes or even ink washes. Fabulous ink.4.5/5

Gold standard for waterproof ink
Platinum Carbon Black is a classic, and a favourite of artists for good reason. When dry, the ink is completely waterproof, making it a solid choice for watercolour sketching. Fair warning: you DO have to wait until it is COMPLETELY dry- ideally paint a few hours after the inking is done. I have never, ever had Carbon ink clog up any of my fountain pens, even if I leave them around unused for weeks. Occasionally I'll get a hard start, but nothing more- nevertheless, if you have a pen inked up with this, use it regularly, because that's the usual advice with pigmented and waterproof inks.Carbon ink is more viscous than water soluble inks, in my experience. It's a bit more gel- like, but flow is good and quite wet. For this reason it also does well with dip pens- not so good as proper drawing inks, but better than most other fountain pen ink.

Truly Waterproof and Dark
I love the darkness of the ink. The ink works well with fine nib and medium nib pens. However, since it is a pigmented ink it dries fast and might stop ink flow when not in use for months. So try to keep the fountain pen filled (full) with ink when not in use or wash it off completely. Do not let the ink stick on the sides of the convertor when not in use for months. If fill the ink regularly everytime it finishes it will not cause any problems.
