Alba Botanica Acnedote Maximum Strength Deep Clean Astringent, 6 Oz

My fav, not too strong and leave my skin feeling so clean. It also keeps away future problems in my skin. I’ve noticed cleaner pores and a feeling of overall cleanliness after use. Great product please keep making it.

I'm a Perricone MD Intensive Pore Minimizer kind of girl. The Perricone product works, but I went vegan and I know that Dr. Perricone does uses DMAE which is derived from wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon. I love that Perricone product and I thought all was lost when I had to give it up as nothing gave me those type of results: deep down clean, blackhead removal, exfoliation, and skin clearing.Alba's Deep Clean Astrigent isn't as dramatic of an improvement as the Perricone's Intensive Pore Minimizer, Dr. Perricone offers a deeper exfoliation. That being said, I'm satisfied with the Alba product and felt refreshed. My skin felt smooth. I'm sure my pores will get in line after a few more uses. Perricone's was a more immediate result, but for a natural product Alba's is the best natural product I've tried.Made my skin tingle a bit reminiscent of Sea Breeze. It's an official astringent which is intended to tighten the appearance of pores. It removed the residue of cleanser that remained after I used my Clairisonic brush which is usually minimal, but it picked up some gunk. I love the refreshing way my skin felt after use.My skin is combination: dry cheeks with an oily t-zone. I break out during the hormonal phase. I'm in my 30's and am concerned mainly with fine lines and uneven skin tone. The texture of my skin is baby smooth, but I notice fine lines on the forehead and enlarged pores on and around the nose. I chose this product to use in conjunction with my cleansing, exfoliating, toning, treatment, moisturize, protection routine.

I am very pleased with this Astringent. I have been struggling with adult acne for more than a few years. I have tried natural homemade receipts to lots of harsh chemicals. I used the Burts Bees Acne toner before I switched to this version. I like this one so much more. The Burt's Bees version burns my face a bit more. This one is more gentle, though if you have any open zits on face, you can feel the sting right on the zit. I use this toner every evening before bed. I cannot attribute my acne free face to this astringent only, but whatever combination I currently have, has kept me acne free for two months now. I have tried many different combos of acne products, so it is finally wonderful to find something that works for me.This astringent has alcohol in it. Alcohol can be drying for some people. I initially avoided alcohol when looking for toners, but I have tried so many different types that I eventually gave in to the alcohol kind. I honestly have no complaints. The alcohol isn't too drying for myself. You can smell the alcohol slightly if you take a direct sniff from the bottle. The product also has a lovely citrusy scent. Overall, I am very happy I found this product.

It’s a good product, the salicylic acid is an acne treatment. However, I do not like the design of the bottle and the Just twist off to a wide open bottle. This astringent is the best I've found on all fronts: You get a lot for your money, it smells wonderful (like witch hazel and citrus), and it does an exceptional job of clearing your skin.I get occasional pimples but have many more blackheads I'm constantly battling, and use this after washing my face several days in a row when I notice a breakout starting. It feels super refreshing and clean going on, and seems to get deep down into your pores to dry up the excess oil (without drying out your skin). A day or two later, either your pimple is gone or can be easily removed with minimal scarring because this brings it to the surface. Definitely try; you won't regret it.

I've been using this for a couple of years now. I have sensitive skin, with large pores and a history of acne. I'm 37, so the acne is less of a problem and now I'm dealing with signs of aging. I use this toner on an exfoliating cotton round to clean everything out of my pores. Then I apply an anti-aging serum and a light layer of jojoba oil over it. I do this morning and night and it seems to help my skin.

The media could not be loaded. I opened the package and was doused in the product because the lid was barely on and it had almost completely emptied in the plastic packaging. I was left with about 1/4 of an ounce. I am not happy at all right now. This should have had a seal of some kind.
