No sound; You can fix it; Here's how:
The media could not be loaded. Like many of you, mine arrived with a non-functional treasure chest sound box. But all is not lost. Despite several claims that the batteries can not be removed to be replaced, that they're soldered into place. Wasn't true in my case and hopefully isn't true for you either.(pictures included) There are tabs to the sides of the battery housings. Carefully lift them. I held down the top of the battery housings so I wouldn't accidentally rip them off the board, and used a small flat head screwdriver to lift the tabs. Needle-nose pliers would probably work better, but I had the screwdriver handy. Once you have lifted the tabs, push the battery from the opposite end of the opening and they should slide right out. The battery that's located right next to the speaker, will need to be slid out at an angle, but there should be enough clearance.Next! You'll need new batteries! Three LR1130 batteries, to be precise. I ordered mine right here from Amazon, they're pretty cheap. Once you have those, just slide them into place, close the tabs, and make sure you're in a well lit room. The audio device is light activated. (video included of my personal results)I hope this helps.XD

Must have for Zelda fans!
The Legend of Zelda Manga Set is an absolute treasure for any fan of the iconic video game series. This collection, which includes the various adaptations of Zelda games into manga form, brings a whole new layer of depth and charm to the beloved characters and stories. Akira Himekawa, the talented duo behind the manga, does an incredible job of capturing the magic and adventure of Zelda while offering a unique perspective on the familiar tales. The art style is stunning. Each panel is filled with intricate details, expressive characters, and beautifully illustrated action scenes that stay true to the visual style of the games. Whether it’s the quiet, contemplative moments with Link and Zelda or the fast-paced, action-packed sequences, the manga excels in bringing the world of Zelda to life in a fresh and dynamic way.The stories themselves are engaging and true to the spirit of the games, whether it’s retelling the classic plot of Ocarina of Time, the dark adventure in Majora’s Mask, or the epic journey in Twilight Princess. The manga adds layers to the narrative, offering more character development and emotional depth, especially for secondary characters like Navi and Impa, giving fans a new way to appreciate their favorite Zelda moments. What I really appreciate about this set is how it appeals to both die-hard fans and newcomers to the franchise. It’s a fantastic way to experience the magic of Zelda in a new medium, and it’s perfect for collectors or anyone who wants to revisit these iconic stories in a fresh and exciting format.Overall, the Legend of Zelda Manga Set is a must-have for Zelda fans. Whether you’re already a fan of the games or new to the franchise, the manga offers an enchanting and enriching experience that is both nostalgic and new. Highly recommended!

Sounds effect does not work. Common problem.
My kids was thrilled with this, even though he already has two of the books in soft-cover. The chest looks great. Feels substantial. But the sound effect card does not work. Must likely batteries are just dead. There's no easy way to repair it that I can see as the batteries are sealed in with three walls.Reading more reviews this seems to be a common problem so not worth seeking replacement. If anyone figures out a way to fix it/change the batteries, I'd really appreciate a heads up.

Sound Effect Fixed - Before changing batteries, try this first!
The media could not be loaded. Love this merchandise, but at first the sound effect did not work and I thought I needed to change my batteries as the other reviews suggested. Turns out the white plastic slip around the metal clip needed to be repositioned because that’s what triggers the sound bit. It stops the metal clip from touching the circuit board while closed, but when opened, the plastic slip shifts and allows the metal clip to touch the circuit board and triggers the sound effect. Look at the pictures of how I positioned mine. If this does not help yours, then try changing your batteries. Best of luck!
