Worked great until......
Very powerful, love all the settings, and the fact that it's rechargeable. However, it randomly just stopped working one day. It won't charge at all so now feels like a waste of moneyUpdate: after having this massager for exactly a year, it just stopped charging one day. Nothing happened to it, no damage, no overuse. It it just decided it didn't want to work anymore.

Non standard USB plug, too many modes
We like the Hitachi magic wand. Hitachi this is not. Not as powerful.Pros:Looks like a Hitachi. Comes close in power.Cons:1. This is NOT a USB charged. It needs a special USB adapter, which if you lose you will never find again. Really, everything else in the world has a USB mini charging port, this has one of those round charging ports which look like everything else. Beware I've found the 12vdc round plugs will fit in this, but it would probably blow it up.2. Too many cycles. It takes a while to scroll through the buttons. It's not like you are sitting quietly at the table while using this, so why make it difficult to find the right pattern.

Better than hitachi magic wand
Ok like most people we bought this for other uses and not just relaxing muscles. This unit has a good weight to it. And the vibrating head oscillates wider than the hitachi magic wand. As it isn’t as loud as a hitachi. The hitachi is too soft on the head and doesn’t oscillate deep like this version does. This version hits hard and deep which is excellent for stimulating . Though this has a lot of settings they can be used in a playful way. Unlike the hitachi which has 3 settings and a low setting followed by 3 very loud and fast settings. Overall my wife and I like this version compared to the hitachi magic wand. This version here is cheaper though I must admit it is prone to just dying like other customers said. But it’s worth it

Stopped working after few months
It was great until it stopped working only a few months in. I would turn it on/off and sometimes I’d have to push the button twice to work, when one day it stopped responding altogether. Very disappointing.
