This laptop purchase was well worth it, and works how I expected it to. The only major things that bother me is the edge to edge lit display giving me backlight bleed, only noticeable when the screen is dark or black, but I expected more for the price tag. And there is only 2 usb slots which isn’t a big deal at all, I’m just use to having 3 (cooling pad plug in) so I can have mouse and controller hooked up without having to switch. Would recommend this laptop, just buyer beware if backlight bleed is a big issue for you

Had to leave town all of a sudden, and was shopping best buy at my destination for a laptop. As a CSS student, I wanted to spend under 1000 and still get something that could handle games and supported 32gb ram (unfortunately doesnt come with that much) but I am pleasantly surprised. Looks and build quality are great compared to most at this price, and it doesnt look rediculously gamer.The only cons (neither of which matter much to me), I wish the keys werent green, and the speakers are NOT good.

I have had a hardware issue since new, I have contacted support and they say its a software issue. It is not a software issue, I have upgraded all drivers and OS and still have the problem with GPU and Video card. They say I have to call support and pay for help as it is not covered. I will never purchase another HP product. I expect that a company will stand behind and support their products. This is obviously a hardware issue.

I loved the laptop when I first got it. The graphics are sharp and the audio function is better than what I expected on a laptop. However, I noticed that the battery life was not very long so I called the technical department of Amazon and was told some ways to save on the battery's life. I have tried all the recommendations I was given. So I can tell you this - I am happy with the speed of the laptop and the AV parts seem to work just fine. But the battery life is TERRIBLE. On any given day, I have to charge it TWICE! I don't charge it only halfway, I wait until I get the error message that I am down to 10%, and then I charge it fully until the orange light turns to blue. If I had to buy it all over again, I would not buy this particular laptop. I am going to call and see if anything can be done since it is under warranty, but I am thinking that if it replaced, I will have the same problem, as I think the issue is with the battery itself, not the laptop.
