The clock works!
This clock works. I bought it because I wake up at night and want to know if I should get up or not. Now I can look over and see what time it is without stirring. I'm sleeping better because I'm not groping for a phone or turning a light on. There's a dimmer on the clock so you can turn it down at night - it's quite bright, like a night light - but you can dim it and rest well. Although there is an am and pm setting it does not dim automatically, but I like it, for a cheap clock I think it's swell. I'd buy it again.

Love it!
Loved this alarm clock so much that I bought another one for my own bedroom. I enjoy the look of it. It is very sleek and the time is in a soothing bluish-white color rather than the red you get from other clocks. The brightness feature has about 5 settings, which is amazing when you want to dim the time at night. I do not use the alarm feature but my teen does on his one and I can certainly hear his alarm going off from my bedroom and even if I’m downstairs. It is loud!

Great… while it lasted
Bought this alarm clock for my boys 2 years ago. It worked great up until a couple weeks ago. Now, I can no longer see the numbers to set the alarm. I can still see the actual time, but when I click the button to set either of the 2 alarms, it just continues to show the current time. My boys also say that when the alarm has been going off, it doesn’t let them turn it off so they have to unplug it. Guess that explains why the time is always 1 am whenever I go to wake them up because they’ve overslept….Long story short, get it if you want something less expensive, knowing it will last at least 2 years… like most everything cheaply made nowadays.

Wonderful alarm clock. Buy it!
I LOVE that the buttons are on the top of the alarm clock. Every alarm clock should function this way. I love that I can dim the lighting especially while you’re trying to sleep. The dimmer the better. I also love that numbers are so big. I highly recommend this alarm clock.

Alarm clock meets all of our expectations!
Alarm clock meets all of our expectations! I bought 2 and we both wanted different options in an alarm and this one does it!! My husband needed adjustable volume (because the other alarm I just bought him from Walmart would not wake him!!) and I wanted the option to set 2 alarms and sleek design.

Great Choice for Time Display
Display is large enough to be read from across an average size room, brightness control has multiple options, time is easy to set and price is very reasonable. Has various alarm settings as well but I don’t use them. I only bought to use as a “time” display.

Works Well and Completely or Not at All - Lasted About 1 1/2 years
This clock was exactly what I needed. Great features: large digits, adjustable volume and dimming, two alarms, 12 or 24 hour format, DST feature, phone charging capable, great snooze time, etc. I put the clock beside my bed and was happy. For over a year, the clock worked perfectly. Then, one morning nothing. No lights, no sound, no display at all. There were no signs that the clock was coming to the end of its functional life. It just ceased working. Luckily, it was a Saturday morning that I woke to a dead clock, so I did not oversleep when I needed to be on schedule. After checking the plug, moving the clock to a different socket, changing the batteries, and trying all the buttons, I came back to the product page on Amazon to see if there was some explanation or trouble-shooting information. None! Finally, I decided to read some reviews. I found many reviews that mentioned similar failure at the year to year and a half mark. This is disappointing. I don't think I have every had an alarm clock that lasted less than 10 years. Here's the first. I gave three stars because it worked perfectly until it didn't, so I have to give recognition to that.

Nice Basic Alarm Clock
I previously had a radio/alarm clock with battery backup where the battery backup stopped working. We have frequent power interruptions, so I wanted an alarm with battery backup. I don't ever use the radio feature, so one with just alarm was sufficient. And I like having two alarm settings. This clock fit the bill at a reasonable price, and other reviews seemed good. I like that all the routinely used time and alarm controls are easily accessible on the top. Some other alarm clocks have these settings on the back, which is inconvenient. The clock and alarm times are easy to set, and controls are obvious and intuitive. The "Dimmer" button allows you to easily adjust the brightness of the display. When Alarm 1 and/or 2 is set, little images appear on the left side of the screen showing they are on. Pressing the "Alarm Off" button turns these off (press once if only one alarm is set, press again if both are set). To set the alarms, press the one you want to set (Alarm 1 or Alarm 2), and the display will start flashing. Use the hour and minute buttons to set. Once set, the time will continue to flash for a few seconds then hold at what you set. Or you can press the alarm button again or the "Snooze/OK" button to stop the flashing and register your setting. You can adjust the alarm volume with the Volume +/- buttons on the left side of the clock. A tone is sounded each time you press so you can hear the volume. When the alarm goes off, pressing the Snooze button will give you an extra 9 minutes until it goes off again. Or you can press the "Alarm Pause" or "Alarm Off" button. "Alarm Pause" turns off the particular alarm (1 or 2) for 24 hours so it won't beep again until the next day. "Alarm Off" turns it off so it won’t beep again until you turn it back on. Once you set times for the Alarm 1 and Alarm 2, these times are retained each time you turn them off and back on, unless you change them. (This seems obvious, but I mention it only because one review I read seemed to indicate this might not be the case.) You can tell if Alarm 1 and/or 2 is set to go off by whether the small icons on the left side of the screen are showing. If an alarm is off, just press the Alarm 1 and/or 2 button to turn back on. The icon will then display on the screen. There is a button on the right side of the clock to toggle modes between either 12 hour (AM/PM) or 24 hour (e.g., military time). Also, if you hold this button in for about 3 seconds, it will add an hour to the current time and display a little "DST" (daylight savings time) symbol on the right side of the face (i.e., "Spring forward"). Pressing it again for about 3 seconds will subtract an hour and remove the DST symbol (i.e., "Fall back"). This saves having to re-set the time twice a year. All very logical and intuitive. One other thing to mention. Several unboxing videos by some reviewers seem to wonder what the two little black square pieces are that are packaged with the clock. I'm not sure why this seems confusing. These are obviously feet. They each have a little post on them, and there are a couple of holes in the back of the clock to insert them. These are easy to insert and fit snugly. They provide a little more width to the base to make the clock more stable, so it won't tip over when you go to hit the Snooze or Alarm Pause or Off buttons. The only slight negative observation I have is that the display can be a little glary and washed out in bright sunlight when viewed from across the room. Making the display brighter helps, but then it is too bright if you wake up and look at the time during the night. As a result, I tend to set the display brightness towards one of the middle settings. This is obviously a personal preference that will vary. All-in-all, this is a nice little alarm clock with big numbers that are easy to read without glasses at a very reasonable/inexpensive price.
