Q: Is the buckle blue, like the belt?

The buckle is BLACK. It is made of a rugged hard plastic. Of course it could be broken with a hammer but I have it found strong and sturdy. I have been using it for about 6 months. I like it mainly because it appears it will last forever. It is not like cheap leather belts that will crack and break. Only negative comment I could make is that it comes in only one size. I have a 34" waist and it almost wraps around me almost half way again.

Q: Is it waterproof? Can I wear it swimming?

The belt is made of a nylon type material. It will not hurt it if it gets wet.
