I've been looking for barrettes to wear my hair in a ponytail for work. I have fine hair and these work perfectly. I've purchased many over the years and they tend to break. So far these are holding up great. I was worried they'd be too small but I love them. If you have thick hair, I don't think these would work. The designs on them are beautiful. Very happy with my purchase.

I have thicker longer hair and it still works for a half up half down hairstyle. For a ponytail look a bigger one would be encouraged.

I use the barrettes to pull the hair away from my face, usually just one side. Pretty, easy to use, and appear durable--I've used them once since they arrived. Good price and stylish. I have thick, curly, willful hair, and these do the trick.
