Great tools, very functional, good compact size.

Needed this for a one time fret leveling job. With four different sandpaper grits, I was able to gently level the fret board. The fret crowning tool worked well and was not overly aggressive. Not really a tool for heavy shop usage but compact enough to carry for limited use.

Just a good kit at a good price.

Pretty good for an inexpensive set.

While I do lots of routine adjustments on my guitars I'm not a luthier by any stretch of the imagination. I got this inexpensive tool set as an experiment to see if I could lower a few high frets causing buzzing on an old acoustic guitar. I'm not sure that these tools helped do the job any better than ordinary files and sandpaper I already have in my workshop. I found the sanding block rather large and awkward. And the crowning file seemed too coarse and deep, almost useless for my application. There were no instructions, so I was making things up as I went, perhaps using these tools improperly. I probably should have googled for an online guide.

My first time leveling and finishing the frets. worked well and guitar is set up without fret buzz.

Does the task cheap .Make sure frets are not loose.

Great for home use and it does the job well, but a pro ruthier would wear it out quickly I think. Keeping that in mind this kit is well worth having in my guitar maintenance tool kit.
