Q: I lost the remote, can I purchase a new one, or how can I get a new one?

Don’t panic. Order an extra set. our remotes seem to be interchangeable! also, I can turn them on and off manually, too.

Q: Can you plug these in to an outlet?

Yes, it can be plugged into an outlet. Works better like that.

Q: How long do they last until they burn out? And when they do, where do you get replacement bulbs?

I only use it at Christmas time. So have not burned out yet.

Q: Are the lights bright when using just the batteries to power?

I use just the batteries. The lights aren't very bright, but I thought at one time they were brighter, so it could be that I need to replace the batteries. But as for the moment, almost a year out since I purchased, the lights are not bright enough to read comfortably. Hope that helps.
