MCQs for the First FRCR (Oxford Specialty Training: Revision Texts) 1st Edition

This is an excellent text for preparing for the FRCR physics module. The explanations are very helpful in saving time as the exam approaches. I used this along with the Cambridge FRCR 1 physics text and the FRCR get through physics text. Together all bases were covered and the exam was easy. Of all the texts though I found this the best (Buy this one if you can buy only one book) but realistically you do need at least the "get through" as an adjunct to get to see enough variation in question types to handle the exam with ease. The big selling point for this text is the detailed explanations of the answers. The section explaining effective doses does however need a minor revision to be in line with the latest data.

Bought this book in preparation for my part 1 masters exam. I find reading the explaination helps espevially nearing the exam. Some wrong answers here and there but you get that in other books as well. Sure you are not supposed to expect to encounter exact questions in the exam but this book will help to prepare you.

didnt get any q from this book in sept 2014.. atleast 20 wrong answers in the book.. good explanations though

book should be simplified and not too complex. people are reading this book because its easily available( though good in parts) but most of questions dosenot match with exam formatmany unnecessary numbers and details are provided, however can be done if one is through textbook very very thoroughlyexam will be based on basic fundamentals and hardly there is ditto question from any MCQ book
