Easy Fix
Fixed our dryers problem. Super easy to do yourself or for your neighbor. Easy to find a youtube video and replace the parts in under an hour while watching toddlers run around - keep your vacuum close and give it a good clean while you're I there.

DIY repairs to noisey GE clothes dryer
Our GE dryer has been making noises for a good while. After viewing some videos online, I decided to attempt repairing it myself. Ordered a repair kit from Amazon that included several parts and it was delivered yesterday.Following the instructions from the online videos, I am pleased to report our dryer no longer makes the irritating noises. The parts were easy to install, and at a cost of $32.00, it beat the heck out of calling a repairman to resolve the problem. Our noises were the result of a bad support bearing at the front of the drum and that was one of the items included in the kit. I would recommend this for anyone experiencing similar problems. Kit also includes a dryer belt that's easy to replace. Tis was a smart purchase.

Everthing except the rear bearing is good.Buy the oem rear bearing when ordering this kit..
The kit is good but the rear bearing is junk.It will melt.

We bought this after the small rectangular sliders broke off my 10+ year old dryer. It was a horrendous sound and you could hear it throughout the house (even in the backyard!) Replacing this was easy, despite the belt needing two people to install. We replaced all the things that came with the pack even if they didn't need it -- better safe than sorry.

Bearing and slides are junk. Everything else is good.
If you're ordering this with the hopes of using the dryer bearing, don't. It's Junk. This was after <10 cycles. Absolutely destroyed. I ordered a genuine part and I wish I took a photo before install. It's a much stronger material. The dryer slides could be stringers too, already showing signs of wear.Everything else has worked fine so far.

Easy to install, quieted a squealing dryer
Our dryer was making a squealing noise when running. This kit took care of it. There are YouTube videos that guide the installation.
