Love this Swan kettle!! Bought the same design four years ago and this was a replacement as I have matching items. This kettle is much better, easy to clean and lightweight. The outside on the older design started to peel and was much heavier. Really pleased and would highly recommend this Swan kettle.

The Good Housekeeping guide said this was the best compact kettle and not particularly noisy when in use. Kettle arrived today, (21 January), and it is lightweight, (when empty), and a nice colour but I wouldn't call it compact and it's pretty noisy when in use so, as always, reviews are very subjective. In my humble opinion, it's quite a chunky kettle and as I have a kitchen/dining/living room, I can hear everything that goes on in the kitchen and this was much noisier than my trusty old Russell Hobbs; (had I been able to source a new lid for my old RH I would have been ecstatic). On the plus side, it pours extremely well and doesn't spit boiling water everywhere and neither does it generate a lot of steam when it comes to the boil so that's handy in a small kitchen area. At the end of the day there's always a 'getting used to' period with anything new so for the time being, it boils water and I can make cups of tea which is exactly what it was bought for. I'll see how it performs over the next few weeks and keep my fingers crossed that it was a good choice.

I just received this Swan kettle today, and it is lovely. Lightweight, stylish, colour perfect for my kitchen.And, with regards to noise with reviews saying it is noisy (god knows why they think it is)It certainly is not noisy, it is very quiet, and a lot quieter then my previous stainless steel kettle from another manufacturer.Very pleased with the kettle

Very well packaged and arrived on date stated. Great kettle. Boils in under 3 minutes. Water is really hot. Easy to lift even with my arthritic hands really good grip on the handle. Really easy to use. The lid just pulls off for easy filling.i brought the black one and it fits in just nice in my kitchen. Easy to clean,just wipe with a damp cloth. Value for money. I live in a very hard water area I have only just had to do my first descale after 6 month of use by 5 adults who are drinking hot drinks every 20 minutes. Highly recommended.
