Waste doesn't have to be so wasteful!
Its a bidet! :) It may seem strange to talk about this, but I'm actually going to try to describe what makes this so great.I can imagine how much money is wasted on toilet paper, or paper that can be put to better use this helps with that.I always thought about this, but never had tried it and I'm impressed. I use historically a lot of toilet paper. It's quite costly. This can pay itself off in about 3 years for most, or even less if you are like me. I was using a 3-4 roles a week easy, and here you don't really need to use hardly anyway. For me it's closer to 2.5 years I'll get a pay off. And this isn't even a cheap unit. i think it's worth it though because it has self cleaning features and a warm seat, and instant hot water. It has just the key settings you need. It's really comfortable, cleaner, and healthier, and frankly just faster and less hassle. For some people the positioning of the seat it a little different you are more forward and it's more sloped you get used to it after a couple of weeks. I wish the lid were made out of a heavier gauge of plastic; it's not a huge deal.Install was easy. I have a glacier bay toilet, and a toto toilet it works on both.I've had it a while now, i waited to write this review, because toilets aren't my wheelhouse and I wanted to cover it after i get some experience. It's quite solid. The only drawback with me is I've not tried many, but i was able to still endorse this because of the key features. Unlimited warm water, and the heated seat I would think would be rather nice for most, along with the cleaning capability.I can't think of anything that would give me hesitation on it. Even the cost. It's a classic people who buy things like this end up saving in the long run. Though he life of the toilet seat, we are talking about many thousands of dollars and easier on your plumbing. It's also easier on your skin and sensitive areas which from a health perspective is advantageous and cleaner. It's like buying a coffee maker, you buy a good one and they last 20-30 years like the mocha master or a cheap one and they die in 3-5. Sometimes you buy things because they pay off in time, and they have quality. It takes some discipline or a leap of faith that the thing will last. These have solid reliability ratings.I think you should give this a try. I love mine, if it's too much you could get the step down of course, if you don't care about these featuers. It's one of these things though that since it ultimately saves you some money, if you use it it's easier to justify some of the nice feature so you keep using it if that makes sense. That's show i looked at this.

Nearly perfect; This is the model you want
First, a critical tip that I don't think is mentioned in the manual: Do NOT use the dryer until after you've flushed. It moves quite a bit of air, and you don't want that aerosolizing fecal coliform and other nasties. The install was surprisingly easy. Working carefully, it took about 30-40 minutes and the included fittings never even threatened to leak. The instructions are unfortunately overly pictorial, a la IKEA, but they're still fairly clear. Definitely do pay attention to the various mentioned caveats in the manual, since some are unintuitive.Using it is dead simple, though learning the remote took a day or two. TOTO helpfully includes a nice permanent labeling placard for the mount that identifies what each button on the remote does. The only thing that I don't like about using the washlet is that positioning the stream side-to-side is a bit uncomfortable/awkward (YMMV if your butt is less exceedingly bony than mine). Given that there's already a dedicated control for fore-aft positioning of the wand, I would actually prefer it if the oscillating function were side to side rather than fore-aft. The soft (better described as wide) spray mode somewhat alleviates this issue, but the pressure is obviously quite a bit lower. On the bright side, TOTO seems to have engineered their mounting bolts with sufficient elasticity that shifting side to side won't loosen them over time, unlike pretty much every other seat that I've ever seen.As for the various other features that differentiate this from other TOTO models, I think that the tankless hot water option is absolutely mandatory. I've heard reports that the C5 can run out of hot water in 30-60 seconds, and that seems rushed relative to what feels completely clean. This also is much lower profile since it doesn't accommodate a tank, and you'll eventually come out ahead on cost with the 3036R or 3036 due to energy savings. I really don't know about the EWATER feature without seeing a scientific white paper, but I thought that it was worth an extra $100 to keep things as sanitary as possible, on the rationale that water alone doesn't keep your toilet bowl clean (this is the only difference between this seat, which is the 3036R, and the cheaper 3036).The dryer works, albeit slowly (1-2 minutes?), and is fairly quiet. Note though that both the dryer and washlet functionalities are going to be impeded if you're sporting an excess of posterior hair. If you were someone hoping to solve the proverbial peanut-butter-in-shag-carpet problem with this single purchase, you'd probably be disappointed. The deodorizer works exceptionally well, enough so that the bathroom fan is almost always unnecessary, which probably offsets much of the additional energy used for the hot water and dryer in summer and winter months.I've only had this for a month, so I can't speak much yet for longevity, but I expect this to last a long while. I haven't yet installed the remote's mount, and as a result the remote has already been dropped 2-3x from 2' up onto tile, without suffering a single scratch or chip that I could find, which is really impressive. TOTO does make a point of repeatedly cautioning that you shouldn't even wipe the seat with toilet paper in order to avoid scratching it; they recommend only using a wet cloth. I suspect that's overly cautious, but take their point that the extremely soft (as in Mohs hardness, not as in squishy) material in the seat is comfortable at the expense of some durability.Overall, it's a really well built and cleverly designed product that TOTO has spent a lot of time perfecting. Do make sure that you've planned how to plug it in, but otherwise, you won't regret it. Not having to wipe feels like living in the Jetsons version of the future. That interminably annoying Charmin bear can kiss my ass.

Luxury toilet experience
I was looking at upgrading to an electric bidet for a while, and Toto seems to be the best brand. I chose this model because it has unlimited hot water instead of a hot water tank that empties quickly. The bidet was much easier to install than much cheaper bidets, no fiddling with electrical tape at all. The toilet had to have the water shut off, tank drained with a couple of flushes, and then unscrew the water line and put it into the T-connector, screw the other line into the T-connector and then plug it in. The seat comes with secure metal screws, not cheap plastic ones and the washlet slides right into the screws, there is no movement while on the seat. The features work amazing, there is a heated seat, energy saving mode which turns off the heated seat and walk up feature if you’re gone for a while or overnight, and it is easy to clean and remove for cleaning under the seat. It’s only missing a toilet nightlight, but this isn’t a deal breaker for me.

Best one out there for money
Being from Asia, I have used bidets for as long as I can remember. At one point they were impossible to find in US but they eventually made inroads in last 20 years or so. I have used atleast 8-10 different kind and this Toto bidet had been exceptional so far.Pros:- unlimited hot water, trust me you need it after you get used to bidets- easy to use remote- simple operation, options and performs flawlessely- more reliable compared to other non Toto brands that I have used (most electric one’s break in 2 years)- great fit and finish with grohe toilets (others will be ok I guess but perfect fit for grohe)Cons-none so far
