Overall:Very pleased with the HOTAS mount, it took a bit to assemble but once together it feels sturdy, firm, and well secured to my desk while being easy to unclamp and store. The variety of configurations and adjustable position all work great, though it does require you to loosen screws to alter the height/depth this also means that once set it stays put and there's no fiddly knobs or other hardware taking up extra space.Pros:-Very customizable, fits a number of different HOTAS styles and has two different mounting platforms.-Assembly allows for creativity and modification if need be for a wide array of configurations, even upside down to increase height relative to desk instead of the standard lower than desk option. Though for some unorthodox configurations you might need to modify or bandsaw off some of the excess central/vertical column to prevent monitor view block.-Very stable once assembled and tightened up.-Very nice clamping fixture.Cons:-Exact number of assembly bolts/nuts.-Requires assembly(not really a con but some reviewers didn't seem to realize this was the case so mentioning it as both a pro and a con.)-A few washers would be a great addition to help HOTAS like the Saitek X52 which use the slender mounting bolts to better secure to the bar type bracket. The slide nuts would be a perfect fit for this had there been 4 extra to use, but the lack of extra led to me borrowing a few larger nuts from the plate style bracket mounting hardware to use in place of a washer.

Easy to assemble and the sliders let you set it up really easily. The clamps don't have the range I would like but the build quality and functionality are exactly what I needed for star citizen. It required a lot of fidgeting/adjusting, also, some of the screws had some small "defects" and the allen wrench did not fit properly in the head...that took off the one star for me.Now the good...my desk is about 4.75 inches wide (it has drawers, see pics). These things look like the could fit in a 10 wide desk..lol...they work great for what I need...once the screws are tight, it feels sturdy and no shaking. In my case I build one first, and tested and retested on the desk until I got it just right....then built the second one by taking the measurements of the first....I can removed them easily and clamp them to the side of the desk (out of the way) when I am not using them

From the engineering side, these things are overbuilt by a ton. Heavy, metal, well-designed and manufactured. Very adjustable for my different types of mounting. Assembly was a bit tricky, but be patient and the payoff is worth the effort. NOTE: The instructions do not match the pieces in the box. There must have been a redesign and there are fewer pieces to assemble. Several of the steps on the instructions aren't necessary because the pieces are shipped already assembled, like the clamp levers. Notice the picture I posted with the base plate and the extra hardware I didn't need to use. I have a Thrustmaster for PS, and to make it work properly I didn't need the plate. I can't believe the quality of these. My sticks are mostly plastic and lightweight overall, so the brackets weigh more than what they are holding. Get them. Patiently assemble them. You will not be disappointed.

Gonna be honest I gave this 5 stars because it does exactly what it’s supposed to and is good build quality, no issues, however I do find them to be huge, and obnoxious and possibly a little dangerous even as I’ve caught my skin on the brackets once already and almost ripped myself open, probably going to end up considering these a loss and tossing them as it’s well past the probability of returning them, make sure this is really what you want, seriously they’re so big I cannot even fit my chair between them without spacing them so far apart it’s un-usable

Updated - I received a replacement and the height-adjusting bolts were removable. I suspect the reason the first set wasn't removable was due to rust in the assembly. The replacement contained the same kind of bolts, but these were removable. One of the bolts, though, had a substantial amount of rust and gunk down in the threads, and I needed a small wrench to remove it. I cleaned the bolt and the assembly out. Even with a wrench, I was unable to unscrew the bolts on the previous one.Once assembled, the mounts do just what they say on the tin. Assembly is a bit tricky and as other reviewers have noted the instructions are more of a general suggestion than an accurate depiction, but once you get the first one assembled the second goes very quickly. They are so far sturdy, and I'm able to keep my controls at a more comfortable height with them. They're easy to remove when I don't need the HOTAS, and they clamp back on my desk without issue.I'd like to give more stars, but there are still some quality-control issues with the parts. As mentioned above, one of the height-adjusting bolt assemblies had rust and gunk in it. The replacement unit had a lot of metal shavings in some of the parts which were an unpleasant surprise. 3 stars from me now, up from one.Prior review:The height-adjusting bolts on the clamps I received are not removable, even with a wrench, and the clamp thus can't be mounted in the clamp assembly. The bolts do not match the image in the assembly instructions, and they are not the same as those shown in other reviews. I was unable to find contact information for the manufacturer to request assistance, and am instead returning this item.
