Does what it says - but use sparingly!
I use this compound to restore and maintain the rubber idler wheel on a 50 year old British made record player turntable. The trick is to avoid soaking it for too long. 5 minutes I found was enough to keep it firm but supple enough to do its job. Fantastic product but it is very smelly - so ideally do the soaking outside, otherwise it will linger in the house for days.

great product
Delivery excellent, good description of the product and what it could be useful in regenerated rubberFurther to apply it several times to other door seal, the seal worked satisfactory

The rubber saver
Brilliant bit of kit , I used this on a rubber sunroof seal in my VW tiguan, the seal was completely hard and unyielding, but after treatment the supplyness of the rubber was transformed and hence the roof is now water tight again , took a couple of application's and it does smell quite strong but this can be forgiven as the performance is excellent

Printer pick-up wheels restored after use.
We have a laser printer working in a dusty environment. After years of use the pick-up wheels for the paper trays began to fail and caused printer jams. This stuff, whilst expensive, does work at bring those wheels back to life. Also you don;t use a lot of it so I suppose a bottle will last a while.Just be careful when you're using it. There's lots of carcinogenic warnings about this stuff. Gloves and lots of airflow might be the order of the day.

Good Value.
Very handy if you have slipping idler tyres on old cassette decks.

Expensive and overhyped, and thoroughly unpleasant to use.
I bought this hoping to rejuvenate a couple of turntable idler wheels which had hardened slightly with age. The wheels weren't cracked and were still relatively pliable, but had lost their grippy surface over 50 years of use. I see this stuff used all the time, particularly by American electronics techs on Youtube so I thought I'd give it a try. You don't get much for your money, though you don't use much in an application either. Nor would you want to as the stuff gives off a thoroughly unpleasant smell. It's not that the smell itself is offensive, but it stays with you and you smell it for hours. You should wear gloves when using this as it does contain some nasty stuff, and use disposable cloths. Note too that it stains fabric and some wood.As far as its performance, it didn't do much. I applied several applications to both wheels, letting them dry between each application. Initially when you apply the liquid it does appear as if the rubber is gaining more grip, as it becomes more difficult ot spread the liquid and your cloth tends to stick and drag on the rubber. But once it dried I couldn't detect any difference. Scuffing the surface with a fine sandpaper did a lot more than this product did. It may work in some scenarios, perhaps rejuvenating printer rollers or rubber seals that are made of newer rubber formulae. But as far as I'm concerned a good clean with isopropyl alcohol did about as much as this stuff did, without the lingering smell. I still have over half a bottle left so I'll try it in future and update this review accordingly, but I'd imagine there is better out there.

Strange brew.
Reasonable success with this product on a hard old idler wheel on vintage record player. Had 4 or 5 goes with it and so far so good. Would recommend, but take care using.
