Great mylar bags for long term storage!
I just started my journey of emergency preparedness and I couldn't be more impressed with the Wallaby mylar bags. These bags are absolutely top-notch for storing dry goods for long term storage. The quality of the material is outstanding - strong, thick and durable. The design of the bag makes it easy to stand up, so filling up the bag is a breeze. The zip lock seal works great and after heat sealing the bags with a hair straightener, I have had no issues with any bags leaking or opening unintentionally. Also like the mention, it's a great bonus that it comes with oxygen absorbers to keep stuff fresh and the stick on labels are great for keeping stuff organized.Overall, these bags offer excellent value for the price. They're easy to use, reliable, and perfect for anyone looking to keep food fresh especially for the long term. Highly recommend! 5 stars!

Fantastic Kit, Great When New To Mylar
What a great kit! Nice quality bags, clear instructions, and everything you need other than the impulse sealer (I got a $20 model that did the job). It’s huge having the zip closure, not only for ease of re-closing when eventually opening the bag, but it also properly aligns the top of the bag for sealing. These are thick material that will not compromise easily and the gusset both allows them to stand up and helps with filling. No smell and no complaints!

By far the best mylar bag I've ever used
It took buying from another company for me to realize that these were superior in every way. Frankly, I find the 5 gallon bags too unwieldly. Sure, I'll use them on occasion for buckets filled with the same product but these 1 gallon bags are infinitely superior in every way. They stand up straight so are easy to fill. They are MUCH thicker than other brands so no break throughs, and they seal with ease (utterly baffled by the person claiming they couldn't get theirs to heat seal. One pass of the hair straightening wand and they were sealed perfectly). There's much more versatility with smaller bags (keeping in mind that you can fit less in a 5 gallon bucket; so it's a trade off). The problem with larger bags is that once you open them, you've ruined the seal and have to start all over again. Better to have three one-gallon bags and you can open each one at a time while preserving the oxygen seal on the others. And the gallon bag holds a surprising amount. I can get an entire bag of sugar in (5 lbs. +) nearly 2 lbs. of potato flakes in one, and so on. These are a must have for serious preppers. And given the state of the world, that should be everyone. Consider my five stars a ten-star review. I'm a repeat customer and will never buy another brand again.

Heavy duty bags...
These storage bags are by far the best I've ever used, and work great for all my dry goods. Will buy again for long term storage.

Fantastic!
These bags are fantastic. The have space for enough food to make a pot of soup form my family of five. Non of our bags have ever split or opened after sealing. We've bought them three times now and have been happy with them every time.

So Close To a Five Star
Why one star short? The zip-lock feature. We purchased these for the sole reason that we didn't want to have to put open bags into another container. It seemed convenient on paper. But this feature makes sealing the bags more tricky. There's less room for error and if you do error and have to open the bag, you'll wind up having to seal below the zip-lock making it useless for resealing. They work great, but you have to be more careful and precise when sealing which means more time. If you're doing 120 gallons at a time, that extra time takes a toll. Then there's the standup feature. It seemed so right, but again, some caveats apply. We are converting from canned storage to bags for better space usage. A standup bag defeats this. They take less depth, but they're wider and longer. The best space-saving comes when you stack them lying down. Then they outshine the cans by more than double. But if they're lying down, the standup feature is unneeded. The bags are outstanding. The whole kit: bags, oxygen absorbers, labels is a wonderful package. The bags are of superior quality. The price to value ratio is the best you'll find. And these two added features have a place, but they come with some trade-offs.I will be buying more bags; many more bags. I will get those without these features in the future for the reasons stated.

Great quality
Mylar bags for long term food storage can be hit-or-miss, and Wallaby bags have been of great quality each time I’ve purchased. They are thicker than a lot of the others out there for purchase, and I haven’t had any puncture yet.

Thick bags, work well.
I initially ordered cheaper Mylar bags with O2 absorbers, but they were delayed, which turned out to be a blessing as this was my first time packaging food for long term storage and I wouldn’t have seen the difference in quality. So while waiting, I ordered Wallaby’s based on reviews and was able to package 10 or so food packages before the cheaper set finally arrived. The cheaper set of bags were advertised as 15 mil thickness, yet were noticeable thinner than the 7.5 mil Wallaby’s, and a 1 gallon cheap bag weighed roughly 1/2 of what the same size Wallaby’s bag weighed on my scale. I then packaged about 10 bags of the cheaper set to try them out. In a couple of days, the Wallaby’s bags/oxygen absorbers had sucked their bags tightly against the contents, whereas the cheaper set didn’t appear to absorb anything. I’ll need to repackage those with decent O2 absorbers or risk finding my food spoiled when I need it 15 or 20 yrs from now. Lesson learned, buy the Wallaby’s from now on.
