As far as I know there are no batteries in the light. It is solar powered with a remote control. I love mine. Perfect for my shed.

Q: What does the red light indicate?

NO IDEA, cause I do not have one. Could be the manual button if the remote is not available.

Q: What is the lifespan of the batteries? Are they replaceable and where are they located?
