Works but the gear doesnt stay fully engaged when cranking. Would not recommend buying, starter looks better in the trash

Got starter quick fast and in a hurry. Had no issues with ordering, shipping, or receiving it. Put on my Duramax 6.6. Very happy with everything.

The starter is a good quality and works as it should.

Taking out the old starter and replacing it with the new one required going at it from inside the wheel well and underneath as expected. Unless you got a smaller down pipe leading into an exhaust smaller in diameter you shouldn’t have that hard of a time. In my case I wasn’t as lucky and had to unbolt/unfasten a few bits to get it out. You get what you pay for will take a skilled mechanic 45 minutes at minimum.

Fit, but when starting, it drags a little. Hope it doesn’t wear my flywheel!!

First time I used it, starter grinded, now it’s getting worse sometimes it won’t even crank the engine. Don’t waste your money on this starter

Hithachi makes a great product but the ignition screw is cheap which is so sad because the starter is really good . Fix this it will be the best . I had to pay my mechanic an extra hour to modify this problem. Good starter fix this .
