Homemade Predator Air Compressor
Works perfectly on my 5.5 HP Predator motor. Initially it took a little trial and error to get the mounting point perfect so it wouldn't drop the idle to low and kill the engine. Once I got that dialed in though it works perfectly. I have bought two of these for seperate Predator compressor builds, the first was 4 years ago and that unit still works great. So when I convetered a dead electric compressor to gas recently I knew I could rely on this throttle control to do the job.

Better throttle control over the whip cable
Much better repeatable throttle positioning from idle to load and back, just need a 1/8" pneumatic line and the correct fittings to connect to the unloader valve. EDIT: I removed the gas tank from the predator to access the governor control and adjusted the spring tension one position to boost the throttle a bit when engaged, very simple adjustment.

It's a great design and installation improvement!
Perfect, the change to using a airline from the unloader to the throttle control is brilliant and much, much easier to install without having a high tensile wire in plastic that has to be routed and anchored somewhere.

Predator on Ingersoll portable problem solved
The Honda on my junkyard find Ingersoll compressor died after 3 good years so I grabbed a predator from HFThen later I guess the spring in the original got week and would only pull it to half throttle decided to try this before the pilot valveProblem solved runs like new again

Work well
I modified mine to work with a predator engine. The stroke distance was a little bit too long so I trimmed it and bent a new hook on it. It works great for my purposes.
