I purchased Varathane Triple Thick Polyurethane as part of my bloom recipe for acrylic paint pouring, and it has worked exceptionally well! This is a great polyurethane. The only minor issue is the depth of wood grain change. All water based urethanes and coatings seem to have the problem, wiping solvent on shows deep, rich grain, wiping oil on shows even deeper 9hence the "French Polish"). The water based don't bring out the depth of color as much.After discovering the weaker grain visibility (which may be a bonus for some people and applications), I put down a coat of shellac sealer with a disposable cotton pad, which is alcohol based which brings out the grain very nicely and also dries quickly. Once the sealer is down, i put polyurethane over it and there are no incompatibility issues so I get the depth of an oiled finish with the ease of water cleanup, and the water cleanup is the most important aspect.The only issue I had with this was using it on damaged wood, the "Self Leveling" aspect seems to only go as far as brush stroke and not uneven grain. It carried the wavy grain all the way to the surface, so i needed to sand off that and then re-apply, using this as a filler. That project turned out acceptable so I say this is very easy to use. If I can do it, anybody can!

This stuff is awesome the self leveling action makes it hard to mess up and it goes on making a thick clear hard finish that looks super professional

I use this as a coating for woodshop made picture frames. Works very well, provides a great finish and fast.

This is a great coat for wooden objects. I make wooden wavy flags and this makes them look amazing. Make sure you use a fine brush and use a thick first coat. It will sit and all the brush marks will level out. Do not go back over the spots for the best first coat results. It took me several flags to get the discipline to hold back on second and third brush strokes. Good coverage and dries clear.

Best product on the market. I have used it for years. Very long lasting.

Goes on easy and provides a beautiful durable finish

Water soluble polyurethane is nice; I’ve used both, and the finished product is very similar.The picture is 5 minutes after applying, so it’s still wet and opaque, but it dries clear.But this triple thick version is not self-leveling, and I can’t get it smooth, at least not with a brush. Maybe with a spray gun, but they recommend using a brush.(Like they said it is self-leveling.)
