This is one Great Probe and on the button. Accurate as hell and tough too.

Broke after 3 months. Always read suspiciously high. Used twice a week at ~600F in a coffee roaster. No response from vendor for a replacement. Product is built well but the solder joining the wires at the tip end was (probably) poorly done.

Woven metal shielded leads are not heat protected.
We wanted to measure the temperature in several places within our glass kiln. The listing suggested the leads, being metal shielded, would also withstand high temperatures. They do not. Firing reduced the portion of the lead within the glass kiln to ashes. Do not subject any portion of the lead to high heat. Only the ends of the probe.
