CitizenMen's Sport Casual Garrison 3-Hand Day/Date Eco-Drive Watch, Arabic Markers, Super Titanium®, Sapphire Crystal, Field Watch

I like a watch that has a clean look. Time, day, and date are all that I use on a regular basis, so I really don't need a compass, altimeter, or a display of the moon phases. I have a compass and an altimeter, and I can see the moon at night. And I have a separate stopwatch. What I want for everyday use is a good-looking watch that's easy to read, keeps good time, and can stand up to regular wear and tear. This watch meets or exceeds my desires. It's quite attractive, gives me what I want clearly, and keeps excellent time. As to specific aspects:Size - As a few reviewers have noted, it's fairly large, but not obnoxiously so. I don't have a large wrist, and it fits me just fine.Band - Some have complained that the band they got wasn't 22mm, but mine is, and I find it to be of good quality and attractive. I did get a second band for some variety, but this one is quite good.Day and date - White letters and numbers against a black background require a closer look, but makes the watch face more consistent in color. It's a price I'm willing to pay; I usually know whether it's Tuesday or Wednesday, and don't need the date all that often.Construction and durability - It's made with high-end materials, so I expect that it will hold up over time, without a lot of scratches etc. So far, it still looks brand new. I haven't worn it while doing engine repair, but for everyday use it hasn't disappointed.Overall, it's not a dress watch, but it is a watch that I'll happily wear anywhere else.

This is a very good everyday watch. It keeps very accurate time. The date window is too small for my eyes but it does not bother me.The band is very easy to resize to fit my wrist snugly. The sapphire face is very good at resisting scratches. I have had this watch over one year and subjected to a lot of abrasive conditions and the face held up well.The band is light but it gets scratched easily but it can be buffed out if needed. Overall just a beautiful, well priced wrist watch that’s very accurate and reliable.

Perfect everyday watch that I don't have to worry about. Titanium so it's lightweight yet strong. Sapphire glass is practically scratchproof. Solar so it never needs a battery change (and keeps better time than garbage automatics). Has the day of the week, day of the month, and decent lume in the dark. I have a 7.5" wrist, and it's very comfortable. Cleans easily after baking, washing dishes, or bathing the kiddo.The metal strap is also titanium, ridiculously light, and super comfortable. However, resizing is a major pain -- the links use a TINY barrel/collar in addition to a pin (see photo), and that minuscule barrel/collar inside the links falls out when you're working on the bracelet. They're about the size of a small sprinkle that I spent far too long trying to find; it's game over for resizing without them. My condolences to any watch shop working on this.Lastly, a bunch of reviews state that the hands and markers on the dial don't line up. Mine are 100% perfect.

Citizen makes beautiful watches, powered by light, that last for years and years. We have four Citizen watches in our family and the oldest is over 40 and keeps perfect time. This is the Garrison model with a green bezel, sapphire crystal and genuine leather watch band. It was easy to set, but I needed a magnifying glass in addition to my glasses to set the day and date! There’s lots of room for improvement on the size of those letters and numbers, but this is a gorgeous piece no matter what. Plain, simple, yet elegant.

Much better than I expected. It's very light weight, well made, for me it's perfect. The day/date is a little hard to see but it's not a big deal to me. It has a nice subdued gray color that's perfect. Very happy with it.3 month update...I completely loved the watch when I first received it. After wearing it for 3 months, one significant problem keeps happening. The crown should screw down. It is large enough to catch on clothing, then pulls out enough to stop the watch. Several times I have found the watch to be half hour slow or more, because the crown pulled out and stopped the watch. It is a shame, it could really be one of the best watches I have ever owned, but due to that problem, I may end up getting rid of it.

Very happy with this watch, but be aware of a couple of things:1) This watch is huge. It *almost* beyond the limit of what I would wear. I have a small wrist, and it definitely dominates my wrist.The positive side is the watch is extremely comfortable to wear. I had to remove almost all the adjustment links, but it does indeed sit correctly and stay in place on my wrist.2) The "luminosity" of the watch face is not that bright. I wear the watch 24/7, and whatever glow the watch face has has usually faded to minimum a couple hours after lights out.The positive is the watch face is very legible and as long as there is some light in the room, you can generally make out the time clear enough.I require the following in a watch: 1) Accuracy, 2) Legibility, 3) Comfort, and 4) Ease-of-Use/low maintenance. This watch does very well in this checklist.Finally, the watch build quality feels very solid and absolutely first class.

Honestly, this watch is a home run outside of the crown for me should have been screw in. It looks great but it will catch on things and open because it is a nice and aggressive crown. It does make setting the date and time easy which I appreciate but man, it catches.It has happened 3 times when wearing nitrile gloved at work and once in my sleep. Due to that, I just now use it on weekends or casual nights out. It is a work horse watch otherwise which is why I wish I had a fix for this.Speaking of work horse, I have banged it up and that sapphire is still without a scratch despite the Ti taking some abuse. Really wish I could do something about that crown.

I love this watch. It is very accurate and solar powered. I put a brown leather band on it.
