My dog is now a vegan.
Our "Huskador" had developed some sort of allergy. Previously, Buddy would get a "B-Bone" as an evening snack. While trying to narrow down what might have been causing his horrible hot spots, we changed to a well known "dental chew stick". After a visit with our vet, our next step was to remove beef or chicken from his treats, food, etc.We were at a loss. Even the "pill covering pockets" all had chicken in them (even peanut butter).Every night, at 8pm, Buddy would get a snack. We even had our home assistant play "Mr. Doug's Snack time" song to alert him that it was time. When we first opened up these sweet potato slices, I did not know if Buddy would take to them or not. He did and he LOVES them!! They are chewy enough for him to last at least 10 minutes and, Buddy is a very aggressive chewer. They are large enough that I was able to cut a few of them in half, length-wise. They are somewhat hard to get the scissors through. The halved strips are more than enough for him, which makes a great value for the money. I appreciate the fact that they are a single ingredient snack.I am so glad that I found these for my aggressive chewing (now "vegan") Huskador.

New Best Treat and Fiber for Dogs
I have tried a few brands of sweet potatoes. This brand is best. My bichon will not eat mixed foods. This is all US sweet potato, of good thickness and has resisted mold and spoilage for the 3 weeks. The bag is a hard plastic with a zip. I reinforced it with a bag clip, to help seal out dry air. What impresses me most is the way that the sweet potato did not get moldy. I would guess that this is due to process and handling. This is my favorite choice of treat and fiber for my pet.

Great Treats
Our GSD puppy (8-months) and Belgian Malinois dog (8-years) love these treats and I feel good knowing they’re getting something healthy to snack on. These are also vet approved. They keep the dogs busy and they don’t gobble them down fast, it’s as if they enjoy these treats flavor and savor them. We’ve even found a treat or two hidden in their dog bed to save for later.Have these on subscription and have been buying them for about 6-months. They’re pricey but one bag will last awhile.

Dog delicious!!!!
Our German shepherd is very picky about all foods and snacks. I tried these treats and she absolutely loves them. After her meal she right to the pantry door and gives puppy dog eyes until she gets one. Thank you. We will be getting more.

Dog is Nuts over These
The delivery of this has been sporadic even though it is on Subscribe and Save. BUT my dog LOVES these! So we try to space out the treats so we don't run out before the next shipment.

Quality control seems lacking and/or product manufacturing changing
We were first introduced to Brutus & Barnaby yams in August of 2021 and have been huge fans since, moving from a 2# bag to 5#, but discovering that the quality seems lacking for the larger quantity bags, so we went back to ordering the two pound version more frequently instead. Recent order was received and this bag seemed to have all the dregs of burnt, broken, much smaller pieces instead of the pliable larger sizes the full length of a regular sized yam our pups have known and loved. We don't post a lot of product reviews, but Amazon asked, so here's our response. Photos of remaining half of a two-pound bag show a sampling of burnt pieces on the left side (we already tossed out ones that were too burnt). Even the pups' faces tell all when given their daily treats, like "what the ?" It is worth noting however that because of the much smaller sized pieces, nobody has yet to complain they get THREE pieces instead of one large one though... Maybe we'll have to switch back to Front Porch Pets Big Boyz Yams instead, although all surveyed pups (they have lots of friends to share treats with) vote for Brutus & Barnaby as being much better, paws down! Hope they can improve packaging quality control so that not all small/broken/burnt/dried yams are thrown into a single bag for an unlucky recipient(s) to get stuck with. Actual items should better reflect product photos as shown on Amazon as they originally did when we first started ordering these. It would be better if these less than perfect pieces are distributed more evenly across all bags so each order has at least a good portion of excellent large pieces and a smattering of smaller/burnt/broken ones. Maybe with supply/demand issues and rising costs, they're cutting the yams crosswise and no longer lengthwise? Smaller pieces more prone to burning/drying? Our initial rating would've been 5+ stars but because of declining quality, give this item 3 stars. Pups still mostly love them, just not as much.

My boys loved them and I loved not having something stinky. Everyone’s happy….
Absolutely one of the best treats I’ve ever bought for my Pits…They loved them, no stinky smell. Healthy for my boys, they must taste great because they definitely would mind so they could have a treat. With my pits nothing lasts very long. However I started reading up on what foods I could use to add to their meals…So for me, I learned something new with ordering these treats. That’s great value in my opinion.
