Moist, Absorbent, Well- Rated Squalene for Facial Skin
Purchased this after reading that squalene was helpful for moist skin. I also noticed that many luxury skin treatments include squalene. I am 60 and try to maintain moisture barrier of my skin . The Ordinary Squalene was rated as one of the best choices of squalene online and the price was reasonable. It absorbs quickly, feels smooth and moisturizing. I do not wear foundation daily, but would imagine that this would not peel under makeup. Very easy to layer under and over oils or other skin treatments.

Takes a while to absorb but worth every penny!
I kept hearing about this brand everywhere but I was cautious of the reviews because I have sensitive, oily skin with eczema but I love this product! One thing I noticed about my skin is that since I started to use it not only is it baby butt soft but it has helped ease the redness in my face. In my first pic although I have makeup there is a lot of redness on my cheeks from leftover acne marks to inflammation (allergies) but taken today the second picture shows my skin with a more even texture/color.I bought this to help moisturize my skin because I always slumped out on face lotion or sunscreen due to it feeling greasy on my face. The oil when applied to my greasy kitchen face feels a liiiiiittle bit heavy but it soaks in after you give it some time. I read online you are supposed to add 2-3 drops on your face. Well I have a fat face because that wasn’t enough so I take 4-5 drops in my hands and rub it in my face. The instructions also say to pat it on so it goes deep in your pores but I gently rubbed my face. I know rubbing your face causes wrinkles but rubbing it in for a good 30 secs really helped the oil soak into my skin. I use a mat tidying moisturizer after this and it helps my oily face soak up all the good stuff within ten mins. (Moisturizer is Origins Matte Moisturizer with Willowherb). It could be my combo of the oil and the lotion that makes my face absorb it all but I highly recommend both because I did not react at all to either. Now usually my eczema reacts nasty to some skincare products but not this oil. The oil does not smell either. Before this I tried the Radha rosehip oil and that smells like moldy crayons but I cannot smell anything with this!TIP: buy from the actual Deciem site or Sephora because it’s cheaper than Amazon. I paid 14$ for this because I desperately needed something to Moisturize my face and I have no regrets paying the extra money.I do wish this company would come out with a 2-4 oz size of this bottle because I would definitely hand them more of my money. This product will make your skin softer and did not cause me to breakout (allergies or pimples). If you have oily skin I would really recommend a matte lotion on top of it or mixing some drops with your lotion in your hand or a cup then applying it. I have no patience and I do the oil first wait a minute for my face to take some of it in then apply my eye cream/lotion on top of that.Good luck!

Great for sensitive skin!
I chose this squalene oil because I heard it could help with rosacea. I add a couple of drops to my cream cleanser to prevent breakouts and oiliness, then I use a drop by itself to remove my eye makeup because my cleanser can’t be used near the eyes. The oil works great as a makeup remover and melts away my waterproof eyeliner and mascara. My skin has been noticeably clearer with regards to breakouts and heals faster when breakouts do occur. It does not do much for the rosacea redness on my cheeks, but my breakout problem areas look less irritated and are easier to cover with makeup. A single bottle has lasted me 3 months and is still half full; you really don’t need to use more than 4 drops per use. At this price, I highly recommend it for those with the right skin type.

Nice option for squalane oil
I've been wanting to try 100% squalane, and was happy to find The Ordinary's offering on Amazon. It would cost less to order from The Ordinary, but Amazon (prime) is move convenient and I feel sure I got it faster. The Ordinary is no longer carried by Sephora, so that makes it especially nice to see it on Amazon. The Ordinary, even at Amazon Prime's price, is a way better value than some of other brands out there. One advantage of some of the more expensive brands, though, is that they disclose the source of the squalane, which is usually sugar cane or olives. I guess it shouldn't matter (as long as it's not from shark livers, whole other story there), but I would like to know.Ok, about how the product performs: I wanted to add an oil to my skincare routine, to see if it would help with issues of aging. Normally, I use light gel-cream moisturizers and was thinking that, while I'm getting enough hydration, I may not be getting enough moisture. And squalane has a reputation for being a non-greasy oil, and it is often recommended for aging skin, as our skin supposedly make less and less of it as we age. So I tried it, pressing it into clean skin. It feels really nice, but is still a little too oily/heavy for me (it does seem to continue to absorb during the day, but not as much as I'd like). I am now experimenting with blending a little of it into some different serums and moisturizers. Here is another way I am using the squlane oil, which is as a "carrier oil" : I have seborrhea (yuck!) in my eyebrows and am trying tea tree oil for that. But alone, tea tree oil is too strong and really needs to be mixed with a carrier oil. I had been using olive oil, which is very greasy. Now I'm mixing a about ten drops squalane with ten of tee tree oil (still pretty strong, you may wish to dilute the tea tree oil more than that). I like this!

Love the face oil
I love this product. It's oil that makes your face feel hydrated, not sticky and it absorbes really well. No smell.

Good for fine hair and combination skin
I’m on my second bottle. I first started using this on my fine curls and I love the way it hydrates my hair without weighing it down. There is also zero scent which I love. I started using it on my face and it feels lightweight and has caused zero break outs on my acne prone sensitive combination skin.
