I hope that this will help. My granddaughter is 10 years old. Her height is 5 ft. Her weight is 68.7 lbs. Her body is lean but developing. Her hips are small. I bought size 8 for her and it fits perfectly. There is some stretch but it conforms nicely . It washes well and does not lose its elasticity.I hope this will help you to determine the right size to buy.

Yes, they work for everyday use. There is a seam on the backside of the underwear that would bother me, but don’t seem to bother my daughter. She wears them just in case.
