Fun and educational
Very substantial digging set, it was very thick and kept him busy for quite a while. my 8yo loves these and this one gave him a new challenge. This didn’t make too much mess and he was thrilled to find 15 real gems and stones in there. The booklet that provides information on each gem and stone was informative and this proved to be a fun and educational activity. We have bought a little clear storage case to keep them in and he often goes back to them. Excellent value for money.

Loads of gems
Very happy with the kit! Not too hard so easy for little hands to dig out the gems. We found 15 gems on our one so very pleased with the result. Would be nice if it had a little hammer as that would make it even easier.

Nice gems, only 14/15 though
I was slightly disappointed when me and my son sat down together to do this. I thought it was very small for the amount of money; however, my son loved it and actually, it was quite fun to dig out the gems with him. But be prepared for A LOT of mess when doing this. It comes with a booklet explaining what the gems are. My son was over the moon. Took them to school the next day and showed them to his class. And now he wants more! He said it’s one of his favourite things to do, so if he’s happy, then I’m happy! Although, there was suppose to be 15 gems and there were only 14; I literally broke apart the whole thing looking for it and it was the best one as well, so that was annoying. The geodes don’t look as nice as in the booklet, either; very small and not so sparkly or colourful. So I have mixed feelings about this.

Great present 9 year old
My son loves a dig set and this was no exception. I had thankfully prepared him for the unique small gems having read other reviews but he still loved it.

Awesome kit for all ages, so much fun to work on. If you love gemstones, you'll love this.
I absolutely loved this kit! Couldn't have been happier with it. 🥰I hadn't done anything like before and I'm bedbound sadly at the mo due to poor health so doing this gave me something to get stuck into. The fun of digging new bits and finding the tiniest bit of a gemstone was just amazing! I loved the gemstones once I'd washed and dried them and they've jump-started my love for gemstone etc so thank you!! 😁I'll no doubt be getting into another of these soon....you just want to keep going when you're finished...plus, more gemstones...never a bad thing! ;)

Its okay but a few faults and underwhelming
as a whole it was a really nice kit and a great idea, there were however a few faults I wanted to point out for future shoppers to be aware of and the seller. (included tea light candle in the photo for size reference)Pros:- the clay/ sand the gems were hidden in is a great consistency, it doesn't just fall apart but isn't too tough to scrape.- I was a little worried about the brick arriving broken but thankfully it was fully intact when I received it- definitely great to keep yourself entertained for a whileCons:- it does seem to come down to luck on whether the finds are sizeable as I've seen a few others find much much better things than I did, so bare in mind it is a chance game on how good the gems will be- the quartz in my dig kit was quite damaged- the agate seemed to be missing and replaced with another crystal or then really underwhelming, the booklet showed majestic orange stripes and the crystal I cant identify is greyish white with no detail whatsoever (I included a photo of the presumed agate and mystery geode- the amethyst was extremely small which is a shame as I've seen others get really majestic amethyst geodes out of this kit.Overall I think if you're looking for something to do it is worth it but if you're most excited about the crystals don't bother.
