Perfect for Homemade Butter
The Kilner Butter Paddles are a fantastic addition to any kitchen, especially for those who enjoy making homemade butter. Made from natural beech wood, these paddles have a smooth and sturdy build that feels great in hand. The ridges are perfectly designed for squeezing out excess buttermilk, and the paddles are easy to maneuver, making the process of shaping butter both efficient and enjoyable. The quality of the wood ensures they are durable and long-lasting with proper care.I also appreciate the set of two, which allows for versatility during use. They’re easy to clean (a quick hand wash and dry is all that’s needed) and look lovely in a rustic kitchen setup. These paddles are both functional and charming—a great choice for anyone diving into traditional butter-making!

Great Little Extra For Home Butter Makers
My husband has taken to making our own butter, & was using his hands to form the butter into an appropriate shape & size to fit our butter dish, but the heat from his hands during the formation would make the butter challenging to shape. I bought these for my husband to try out as they looked good & were reasonably priced, & I wasn't sure if he would like my idea or not. I am pleased to say he loves using them, & in his own words 'they make the butter pat look far more professional now'. A quick wash wish hot soapy water, preferably under a running tap - set them aside to dry naturally...done!

Lovely!
I make my own butter, so use these regularly. Very easy to use. I slightly chill the butter and run the paddles under the cold tap before using, this stops the butter sticking. I usually roll my butter into small balls and then pop them in a butter dish. Good value, long lasting.

Work as intended but..
On delivery the paddles and packaging appeared undamaged. It wasn't until I was right about to use them when I took them out of the Kilner cardboard packaging that first I noticed the flat side on both paddles has not been finished sufficiently, still very rough and fibrous, and left visible fibers in the butter. After use, and laying the paddles down on my board, I noticed that both were warped. I'm handy and both are these things are fixable for me but from a well known brand like Kilner you would expect more. Especially being one of the few brands to offer these butter paddles. The warping may down to environmental factors from where the paddles are stored but the level of finish is on Kilner, and fibers in my butter are far worse than imperfect lines. Check the photo.
