Q: how often do these need changing

Difficult to answer because lifetime depends on usage. WE do not use ours very much and only change about every 6 months. YOu will have a good idea when you need to change because as the filter becomes less effective you will see the water flow slowing down considerably. YOu could also examine the filter to see how much the colour has darkened from new.

Q: does this filter out chlorine? does it contain Carbon?

I believe Chlorine is desolved in drinking water rather than particulates which can be filtered out, the filter is ceramic not carbon based, the company web site has the details. Doulton do seem to make a cartridge to remove chlorine to some extent not sure of the technology: https://doulton.com/product/chlorine-reduction-filter/

Q: Does this filter fit the Franke Minerva 3-in1 system?

Sorry unsure. Mine is a Franke tri flow system .

Q: Will this filter replace the franke 07 filter instead

This filter is a compatible version and will fit. This filter does not have a scale inhibitor in it where as the 07 Franke does.
