From the advertising pictures about this product, I expected this to be a kit containing pencils and a book of line drawings coupled with a large, color reference photo for each of the projects, plus instructions on what color pencil to use where. I thought this was a beginners' kit of art instruction. But this isn't what came. Instead, just the book. A book of projects, but no pencils, or color guide. The reference pictures are so small there is no way you can deduce what colors go where. Very disappointing. The advertising shows models holding up completed pictures that have all the depth of field and color dynamics of a professionally trained, bona fide career artist's efforts. You have to be quite advanced in art yourself in order to make the 36 projects inside look like anything but grade school art. I guess this is why coloring books are being marketed as "relaxation" therapy instead of forays into real art. I'm disappointed. What could have been a really exciting learning experience has turned out to be just a book of patterns.

The pictures are done with light grey lines, so it helps if using watercolors. The paper is very smooth,like hot pressed water color paper. I was disappointed because it says that its watercolor paper, but it really doesnt seem like it to me. It will ripple from moisture. I used a waterpen and very little water, and it still rippled. But im keeping it anyway. The pictures are so different and so nice

The last page "Test your colors" is terrible. Not a fan.

Really good renditions of flowers. Good composition, and just beautiful, The paper is not as thick as 140 lb watercolor, so I’m not sure you could use it with water color paint and a lot of water. It. Also there’s no texture, but it is thick smooth paper. Good for colored pencils, markers, pens if you don’t bear down too hard. I’m tracing them onto watercolor so I can practice painting.

The flowers coloring book is very nice. It’s also good for practicing work with colors that can be helpful in your own paintings. The swatches are a nice idea, but you really need one for each drawing. The most disappointing aspect was that it is advertised to have easily removable pages. That is not true at all. I ripped my first drawing trying to get it out.

It is alright for watercolors or color penclis. There are small photos for color reference. The pages seem of good quality to use the watercolors directly on them, but i decided to transfer the design to a different type of paper that was a sure thing.

Gute Papier und gute Handhabung. Allerdings sind die Linien teilweise nicht gut vorgezeichnet. Man muss sich die Bilder vorher genau ansehen und evtl. die Linien ergänzen bzw. nachziehen.
