Got it for mom as she was experiencing difficulty with "sundowners" - differentiating day from night. Set up was easy (for us to complete) -we like the large display, and she can view from a distance. It is light and the time was accurate as soon as turned on (plugged in). I didn't think the price was too bad.

I purchased this clock for my grandmother who was 102 and it served it's purpose well. Because I needed to position it a little distance from her, I probably should have bought the larger size because the more intricate information at the bottom was harder to read. I would also recommend buying this for your older adult before they start to slip cognitively so that they are a little more familiar with it when they do start to struggle. Since grandma has passed away, I use it in my office for my clients and I appreciate that it is a smart product and I do not have to do anything and it just keeps things straight.

Good clear screen like on my tablet. Good stand, controls, menue. Feels durable. Easy to read. Has an internal button battery for memory if house power goes off.

Purchased this Day/Date Clock for a Senior parent who started to lose track of the day & date... thanks to the Covid Lockdown. Very helpful item that looks GREAT. But, anyone would be happy to have this at home, dorm room, office, etc!I selected the black frame, & opted to set up the display w/ the background dark- w/ white letters & numbers for a very easy to see display. Not using the alarm feature, as prefer not to have my Mom moving the frame around to set alarms or to silence them. IMO, best to use just as a Clock & Day-Date Calendar as all controls are on the back & a bit small to adjust for most Senior users.No problems with the unit, has been working fine for 8 months now.Warning: There is no mention of the word DEMENTIA on the outside of the box, however the instruction sheet I received (enclosed inside the box) calls it a Dementia clock. Glad I opened the box before giving it as a gift to my Mom.While it's useful to have Memory/Dementia/Alzheimers in the Amazon "search" for a useful clock, I don't think it needs to be on the product's instruction sheet or packaging. Again, was not on the box, just the instruction sheet.Anyone purchasing it for a person suffering dementia or memory loss should realize that that recipient would likely find the instructions tricky due to their impairment, so be sure to set it up ahead of time or when you give it to them- so they could choose the background display they like best of the choices it offers.Many times though... choices give them anxiety- so perhaps best to experiment w/ the 3 options yourself first- & pick which one you believe they will be able to see the easiest.Very happy with the purchase, & my Mom tells me it is one of her favorite gifts EVER received!

This clock is very well-made, but I found it to be fairly tricky to change the various functions – – especially the “time” function. I had to keep flipping the clock back-and-forth so I could see the arrows that control the clock. To further confuse the issue, I have MACULAR DEGENERATION, so I had to wear a headlamp, so I could see the dials on the backside of the clock. Also, since the dials were flush with the back of the clock, it made it more difficult for me to feel them.The reason I was buying this clock in the first place was because I have severe vision problems. Regrettably, I must RETURN this clock, because I cannot see the lettering from across the room.. The size of this clock is 6” x 10”, but I need much bigger.Carolyn M., PhD
