No, these do NOT have to be refrigerated. I have been taking these for over 2 years. Both have 3 billion viable organisms, with the 16 Strain Probiotic offering a wider variety in the types of strains. Both have a prebiotic to help the probiotics in the intestines (125 mg for Probiotic 4 and 50 mg for 16 Strain Probiotic), and the 16 strain also includes a small amount of a trace mineral complex (12.5 mg). Q: If FOS feeds the bad bacteria, why is it in here?

They put it there to feed the beneficial bacteria.but it's acting against people how have candida, sibo or food allergies because it stimulate the levels of E coli. It is best to get it from your diet like artichoke, onions, garlic. I hope it helps.
