About 1/2 inch wide and about 1/8 inch deep and almost a closed rectangle when put in skin.

They would almost seen like small regular paper staples.

Q: Are they stainless steel staples?

From my understanding, only stainless steel can be used in surgical applications, so yes. I have used these already to staple up one of my dogs a couple of times when he was attacked by a pitbull. (I’m a paramedic.) You’ll need either the removal tool, or a pair of hemostats to take out the Staples. Usually on day 6 to 8.
