The item out of the box works great. I don't know how long this will hold up. Most oils will swell certain o-ring and then it fails so we'll see how long this lasts.

This is a great piece of kit. my Harley was overfilled with oil to 4 quarts versus 3.5. I was going to open the oil pan drain plug, but decided to buy and use this Oil Extractor Pump and it worked perfectly. Easy to use, clean. and highly recommend this product.

The suction provided by this tool is impressive but the handle is not designed to handle it. After using this extractor just 3 times, the handle sheared off and fluid began pissing out of the contact point between the tubing (which tends to pinch and weaken the tubing over time) and the base of the syringe. It might be a worthwhile purchase if it were re-designed with these failure points taken into consideration but as it is, I cannot recommend this product to anyone who values their money! 1 out of 5 stars is much too high a score for this piece of garbage.

Received this item a week ago. Haven’t had time to utilize it for my intended purpose (CVT trans fluid drain and fill). I did unbox the item and noticed a thick film inside the vacuum chamber. Turned out to be petroleum jelly and lots of it! Not sure if it would have affected trans fluid through contamination. Cleaned it thoroughly, just to be safe! Will complete review after job is completed! Unit received in timely manner and in good condition. Be back soon for rest of review! Long delay in getting trans fluid replaced, but finally completed! No problems with the transfer pump! Works as expected! Recommend this item for its intended purpose! All expectations were met! Only one minor complaint, petroleum jelly in pump chamber (way too much)! Four stars all the way!
