Really solid, doesn't move at all.
5/2024 Update. This is the only pull up bar that fits my hallway width. It's rock solid after install with the wood backing plates attached to the ceiling joists. I brought 3/8 lag bolts for the plates to the ceiling studs, and used the included 5/16 lag bolts to mount the 2 legs. I also replaced the hex nut on the horizontal bar with a stainless steel round bolt from Home Depot and placed it downward to minimize contact. Finally I spray painted it to make it look more uniform. Love the height adjustment option as well. I'm 5'8" 160 lbs.5/2023 There is a hex screw right in the middle of the horizontal bar to tighten the two bars together (not one smooth piece). I had to return it because you can catch your fingers on it. Otherwise everything else is solid.

My garage pull up bar
I installed this in my garage so I can do pull ups after I get my run in. It’s strong, the grips hold to the bar and it fits my body/sholders. I highly recommend this item. I installed a 2x10 on the ceiling using structural type screws, 5 inch.

Great product, except the mounting bracket spacing
Mounting brackets don't align with standard building code distance on support studs/beams. Wasn't a simple mounting install in this regard... Product is nice otherwise!

Excellent pull up bar
I love this bar! Installation might depend on your set up and where you want to install it. I installed mine in the garage. Luckily enough, I could go through the attic and locate the studs. I could secure a board to the studs then attach the bar to the board. It gave me flexibility in terms of placement. I also love that we can set the height so my sons can also use it! Solid and offers different pull ups options.

Bolts are terrible
The mounting bolts that were provided are Trash. The manufacturer is wrong for providing those bolts to customers. It would also be nice to provide a YouTube link to instruct folks of how to properly mount tbis product.

Sturdy bar, but not bolts to attach to ceiling joists
Thank you Amazon for having such a great selection!Sturdy bar - my 190lbs caused no movement. Hopefully it will last.WARNING. As another reviewer reported, it doesn't come with bolts to attach it to the ceiling joists. It comes with what looks like concrete anchors. I had to buy '8' 5/16" x 2 1/2" long bolts from Ace Hardware for $7.52. I used bolts to make it easier to take down if I move. Also, no real instructions on how to mount it. I came up with this method. I assembled it with the side grips faced upward so it would sit flat; took it into the attic, set it on ceiling sheetrock, and marked and cut out the holes. I then disassembled it, pushed the bars through the holes then back to the garage to reassembled it. This way I knew it was aligned correctly. Then back to the attic to clamp the support bars in place to the wood joist to install the bolts, but not all the way tight. Then back to the garage, used a level & made a slight adjustment, then back to the attic to tighten the bolts. My 70 year old body is sore today from all the ups and down.WHY no Help videos since they have sold hundreds of these and it would have saved me from having to figure it out.To Top it off, Amazon dropped the price about $15.00 for Black Friday - I should have waited. At least it is done and I can add pullups to my pushup and hiking routine.
