great device, i used in production
ive had this a few weeks now.I think its a great device, I really like the blending option. so you can select an effect and control how much you want to apply it to your voice. this is great.the other options ("contour") is to apply things like de-esser, hard compress, vinyl, am radio. again you can adjust the amount. these combos can create some unique sounds. although I often just have the de-esser on full.the buttons and controls are decent, feels strong enough. I think the UI can be a tiny bit slow for my liking. but not enough to not recommend it.also the sample buttons are a cool feature. I was able to record my own sounds and assign them to each of the 4 sample buttons. this is really nice.the built in sample sounds are ok, but best used with your own sounds.my only issue with this is there seems to be a split second delay in pressing a sample button and it playing.could be an issue for live performances, but with practice it should be fine for timings.and to be able to customise the colour of the lights...this is a cool feature. not technically "nessasary" but I think its really useful.something to note: this thing is bigger than I expected. at approx (a quick rough measure with ruler) 19cm x 13cm x 6cm.so need a decent size case if you want to carry it around.also this device runs a little hot. not crazy amounts, ive not had it be an issue. but on a hot day on stage it might? I always keep mine ontop of a fan table which keeps it cool.ive not used this for streaming, I used for music production. in terms of recording quality id say this is good. it does the job. its clear (of course depends on microphone used too)I do wish it had an xlr output so I could run this inbetween hardware. but its not really what its designed for.only reason I gave 4 stars is that occasionally the recording crackles. thankfully its not a frequent occurance. but is annoying when you have to redo a recording because of it.would be fine for streaming. but something to consider for production.is it worth the money? id say almost. I saw this on sale for £100 elsewhere and was gutted I missed that. at that price deffo worth it. but its still cheaper here then on the official website. (200)

Looks great, horrible sound, missing cables, Totally disappointed
Had great experience with Mackie in the past and actually in the market for a DLZ creator. So hopes were high when I received this,Looks fantastic in white and is a real visual addition to my set up of which all is white. big sturdy stand alone unit, great build quality even so I think they mackie could have done better jobs on some of the knobs which feel a bit fiddly . Only came with the power supply which was for Europe. UK plug was added post packaging it seems. Did expect better from Mackie. But no cables at all except for USB C. I can't connect the thing to any of my mobile devices. the box was also tampered with. think this was a device that someone might have sent back,I cant use the thing until I got cables.I Hate to send it back but after firmware update the problems got worse. No monitoring possible with headphones on the unit.no output possible on speakers either. Sampler, recoding, monitoring everything sounds with distortion. Have tried various new cables, settings on the device and on the computer but the sampler and the headphones just sound horrible. Considering that there was no protective plastic film on the small monitor it is clear to me this one was most possibly sent back.Came recommended on DJ forum and some YouTube tutorials/ reviews so I thought this was the complete solution that I needed to stream my dj sets with good sound quality and a little extra but this was a very very bad experience. Besides missing cables and some knobs being a bit questionable the unit is missing a simple on and off switch. RCA connection and/or MIDI at this point would be a great addition and would justify the manufacture suggested retail price of $349,-It shines in simple usage and looking fantastic, but it just doesn’t work properly. Sorry Mackie, sending this one back and strongly recommend some serious quality control here. I simply refuse to believe that they are putting faulty products in the market.

Not fit for purpose, not in new condition
Completely ridiculous device that lacks the most basic feature of disabling the direct monitoring of channel 1 that drives the XLR microphone with phantom power - once you connect this device to a PC, and proceed to use its headphone out port, you will hear yourself speak and there is absolutely no option of disabling this unless you mute the microphone completely. This device is unusable for the purpose it is being marketed for, the word "mixer" should be nowhere near its description, let alone the product name.To add insult to injury, the item was listed as new by Mackie's official UK distributor, yet I have received a clearly used product with blemishes on the device and damaged packaging that was clumsily taped back together.
