I like Apple products but it’s £200 to replace the battery on my MacBook so I thought I’d have a go. For less than 1/3 of the cost very easy to fit instructions were very good had it replaced in half an hour and charging time is the same and so is battery life I thought as it was cheaper it wouldn’t give me as long in use but I’m very surprised

My 2017 MacBook Pro has been unable to hold a charge for the last couple years. I finally had enough and decided to try and replace the battery myself as quotes from Apple to do it were more than the laptop is worth. I used this kit and it was quick and easy to do. The instructions are detailed and the video helped massively. I wish I’d thought to do this sooner, I can now use my laptop without needing to constantly plug it in.

I usually don't leave reviews for products but this one deserves one just to help others to avoid ever buying it.Since the very first cycle, after initiating the battery, at 50% dropped to 9%. After a few cycles, it was the same or even worse, my laptop just turned off after going under 50% till at the last cycle, and not long after a month of use, it didn't even charge anymore. at some point, the laptop didn't even turn on. After an hour of struggle to turn back on my device, the battery wasn't even recognised by macOS.So I had to take out this battery and returned it.It is the worst experience ever with a product bought on Amazon. DON'T BUY IT! It's garbage! and they are selling it for £61, what a joke!Edited! Eventually, Amazon refunded my money which is much appreciated!

Installation is not hard at all, if you’re not dumb and you can handle a screwdriver you will be fine. Battery keeps charge as it’s expected. I highly recommend it.

Received the battery and tool kit promptly. The package was professional and in good order.I had watched a YouTube install video prior to purchasing. However, Asmark’s provided a QR code to their video installation which was even better. I was most apprehensive about removing the old battery and, to be sure, that was the trickiest part. However the credit card sized tool with sharp edges and some rubbing alcohol as suggested in their video made it fairly easy to remove in 5-10 minutes.Battery has been installed for a few days and gone through a few power cycles. Anecdotally i would say it’s slightly better than the original in capacity right now but time will tell. The battery came with 50% charge.Overall very happy with the product.

I should have been happy with my MacBook’s inability to hold a good charge, it would have been better to have a MacBook than no MacBook. Apple logo shows, but nothing after that. Battery is probably faulty, tried both cables and came to the same issue.Save your hard earned money and take it to a repair shop.Edit: Took it to an apple certified tech, and they told me the battery caused a firmware malfunction, essentially making it impossible for my MacBook to boot beyond posting the apple logo. I got an apology from ASMARK, but nothing else. A sorry won’t get my money back, and it won’t get yours either. As I said earlier, it was working fine before I bought this battery.Final edit: Full refund was issued and they assured me that the product would typically not perform in this way. It’s unfortunate that my situation occurred, however the team was very friendly and willing to help me achieve a refund.
