HDD failed in 8 days
I had bought this 4TB hard disk in Jun 2024. But installed it in my HIKVISION 16 channel DVR in Aug 2025. 10 cameras are connected to the DVR and all were on continuous recording mode. The hard disk worked fine for 8 days. But it stopped working all of a sudden the 9th day, saying Hard Disk exception. Formatted the hard disk several times, but looks like the HDD has failed and not recoverable. I'm feeling cheated. Such an expensive HDD worked only for 8 days.

Broken and defective, very terrible packaging
HDDs were defective, had broken connectors and all devices were dead. It takes a special level of intelligence to package HDD without cushion/wrapping and in a big box where HDDs were moving all over.
