The slamming of the Kitchen cabinet doors in my house were so loud that you can hear it upstairs every time someone closed them. I was considering replacing all of the hinges for the Cabinet Doors with some soft close hinges. But the cost to replace so many of them was way more than I was expecting. Of course, YouTube and the Internet to the rescue. I looked it up on YouTube to see if there are any other options to help dampen the sound of the Cabinet Doors and came across these Soft Close Dampers. Although the material of the dampers were more like hard plastic, it was suitable enough to do the job. I don't think it would be too much of a concern since it's not absorbing any contact from the doors. The cost was far more reasonable and super easy to install inside the frame of the Cabinet doors compared to buying new hinges that would soften the closing of the doors.

Was a bit skeptical about how well it would work. Tested on a couple of doors and found them to work great. This a great alternative to soft close hinges at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended.

I purchased my first pack of these in 2019 and quickly bought more once I saw how well they worked and how easy they were to install. A pilot hole for the one screw installation is a must. Be sure to get them lined up and installed properly. Be sure they are fully tightened when installed. If they are out of place or the screw isn’t tight, they will break eventually. I originally installed about 40 of these. Over the past 5 years I have had to replace 4 or 5 of these because they developed leaks. Hence the reason for dinging the one star. But as cabinet hardware goes, they are pretty good for the price. Well worth replacing when they do fail.

Super easy to install and effective! Wish I knew about these sooner!

This is one of the few products that seems to have a large following for cabinet soft closers when wanting the feature in a cabinet door that has a euro hinge. I put a set on about 8 years ago on all of my home cabinet doors (phew! that was an everlasting feat). They work beautifully and I have not ran into any duds in the 10 pack bags. So, why did I give it a 3 star? Their website claims "about 50,000 closes", there are only 3 of us in the house and there is no way we have closed the cabinet doors anywhere close to 50,000 times in some of the cabinets that I'm changing out. I purchased 20 in the last two years and have replaced 17 of the original install so far. Mind you, I have approximately 80-90 cabinet doors throughout my house. I think the product is great and easy to install, but I feel like it doesn't last as long as stated. I can't say it is because the doors are too heavy because the doors in other cabinets have not worn out and they are the same size. I also have smaller doors that have worn out as well and have changed. I believe the product is of good value, I just know that they will not last 50,000 closes or anywhere close to that. Of course, the alternative is replacing the hinges to soft closing. I will stick to these guys and hopefully get 10 years out of it, that will put me to a third the price of replacing hinges (DIY install of course). If you go with these retro soft closers, make sure to keep a few extras for future replacement.

I usually don’t write reviews unless a product truly impresses me. Although I was initially skeptical, I decided to give this product a try, and I’m delighted to say it exceeded my expectations. Installation was a breeze, and the product performs flawlessly.While it’s made of plastic painted to look like metal, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference after installation, it blends seamlessly and is virtually unnoticeable. I opted to install mine at the top of the door, just above the hinge, as installing it at the bottom would have taken up too much space.I used a 15-pack and a 5-pack, and the entire installation process took about 35 minutes. They work beautifully, and I only wish I had discovered them sooner. I highly recommend this product!

I frankly expected more form ROK Hardware. I am disappointed and will be returning them for 2 primary reasons:1. These are extremely light weight. They are advertised as die-cast, which I assumed would be metal, in my opinion indications of a good quality product. Well, apparently that refers to cast plastic now too. This is partly my misinterpretation though as also in the description is, "Material: High Grade Plastic with Polished Nickel Finish". The finish is not nickel. Nickel is a metal. It is bright "chrome" plastic wrapping.2. The bigger issue i have is the claimed, "soft-closing speed/tension can be easily adjusted by the hand turn of a rear screw to your desired preference." There is no closing speed or tension adjustment. The adjustment screw simply moves the position of the damper "post" in and out of the main body, so all it actually does is increase or decrease the stroke distance. This just results in the soft close action occurring over a shorter or longer distance of the door closing. It does not adjust the speed of the mechanism and is absolutely does not adjust the tension or dampening force of the mechanism. So it is going to treat a heavy door and light door with the same amount of resistance, which will create a problem for many installations. It appears their solution is to just add more of the damper to the cabinet if you have a heavy door that needs more dampening.I guess I should have just spent the slight premium and went with Blum dampeners in the first place, but I've used Rok hardware before and had higher expectations for these.

Was very easy to install, works great. Can adjust the speed for closing. Although they are plastic, they look like metal, and are of good quality. Great way to upgrade cabinets.

In our previous house we had soft closing cupboard doors in the kitchen, but in our new place no such thing! So we forgot they wasn't soft closing and BANG! Each time. I saw these and thought let's give em a go, soft closing doors once again, no more bangs!The best part is they are so easy to install, and you can adjust them.
