Great product...
I am a Marine veteran (1969-1975) who had not owned a pair of military combat boots since my government issued leather boots finally wore out in about 1978. Since that time I have gravitated towards high end hiking boots. I have worn out several pairs of Vasque Sundowner leather boots and kept replacing them because they enjoyed a long lifespan despite my abusive treatment and were the most comfortable boots I found for carrying heavy loads. When my latest pair had to be downgraded to "farm boots" I considered getting another new pair but did not like the latest Sundowner style and material choice. After doing some research I bought the Belleville 500 waterproof boot. I bought the same size Bellville 500 that I normally wear in hiking boots and found the fit to be generous but not too large. With cushion sole socks and a proper lacing the boots were perfect right out of the box. I did a three mile walk on a paved trail the first day I had them in total comfort. I did about five miles on a gravel/dirt trail system at an abandoned quarry two days later. Again, no problems with fit or comfort. I now consider them ready for any hike I choose to take. One piece of advice...if you have never worn military boots before, check out a few youtube videos on lacing and tying options before you start wearing them. I like long laces with a double wrap just below the top of the boot with the ends tucked inside the boot to eliminate snags. I can not imagine wearing them with a traditional bow or even double bow.

Comfortable
These boots took a while to break in but it was worth the effort. They're super comfortable and have been surviving daily use for a couple months. I'm planning on taking these to OCS and they were recommended to me by current Marines. I'm glad I listened to their recommendations as these are fantastic for running, rucking, and lifting weights. They feel lighter than I expected and the only complaint I have is that the insoles they came with are crap. Definitely replace those immediately but other than that, you'll love these boots.

It either meets or excels in every metric
This is an absolutely fabulous boot; I wear them just about every day. They are light for a field boot, water repellent enough (unless you are going to be standing in water), breath and very comfortable. The leather appears to be top quality and the rest is either Kevlar or something like it. I've never see a boot made this well. Usually I don't pay much for shoes/boots, but I feel the ~$200 was well spent here.

Good boots but..
This is my second pair. The first, lasted 6 months doing garbage. Let’s put it this way, until I came across these boots, I had to buy new shoes or boots every two weeks. Average 20k steps a day just loading garbage, lots of running. Anyways, first pair was great, this pair, souls really wore out fast and then on top of that, they split down the middle. Good dam boots, waterproof and insulated enough if you keep moving, you stay warm. I’d suggest a better in soul but dam tough. Won’t regret this purchase. I’ve bought 250$ Name brand boots and then the cheap Shaq shoes from Wally World. Best 200$ you’ll spend.

Defective seconds low quality trash
Worn for 1 week and both shoes are DEFECTIVE! These are low quality seconds being pushed on unsuspecting public. What a ripoff!

Fits like a street shoe, works like a boot
I was not a Marine, I don't need these for duty. I'm just a tradesman with wide feet. I've had similar pairs before and Belleville is constant in sizing and it just works for me. I've run these pretty hard in the month I've had them and the quality is great, the break-in time is just a couple days. I'm not seeing any signs of early failure. They make my feet happy. I don't even pull them tight and they're great.I would prefer a stitched on, chunky sole, but these just plain perform. Keeps the feet dry in a mud hole, and they feel like an athletic shoe. To me. One of the nicest boots I've had so far.

Great boots
I wear a 91/2 in these I wear an 8 1/2 they run a size big. I've got em broke in and they are amazing boots Im glad I bought these instead of another Irish setters pair. They good for the woods but you ain't really going to want to wear these in a warehouse setting because they won't last as long as actual work boots but if you are in the woods hunting or need boots for all terrain these are the ones to go with.

Great boot.
Only thing is the boot is so water resistance it dosent let water out but so comfortable I wish they had these when I was a young Marine.
