These work as well if not better than the ones that sell for $9 and $10.00 a piece!
Got the smaller package at Christmas for my daughter and she loves it so much I got the big one for Mother’s Day!

Love These!!
So many great colors!!! I like to do my own color charts for reference when creating. These are in boxes containing 10 or 12 pens they are not in order. My main complaint, but not a big deal. I just emptied all the boxes of their pens and put them in order and began my color chart. Such great vibrant colors. I haven’t used them yet. Really looking forward to it though

Colors are appealing. Brush quality is you get what you pay. Containers to store them hard to find.
The colors are appealing- as you can see from the image. Note I only use these to color and not free hand art so I cannot comment on their use if you plan to use these for making things to sell.Brush quality--is you get what you pay for situation. So this set came with 96 markers. 3/96 had tips where they were frayed but usable. 6/96 needed to have 1-4 "hairs" removed because 1 came loose and you need to use your finger or tweezers to gently pull it out sometimes you take out a "clump" but the markers are still usable.Conclusion/Storage Comment: I think the set is worth the money. I might have bought the 96 set that came with a case. The package THIS SET order comes in ONLY has a plastic point box and plastic trays which aren't the best to store and use over a long period of time.To remedy the issue, I bought a larger cylinder food container(s) to hold all 96 markers. These markers are very long, 7 inches thereabout, and the marker caps are fatter than the “butt” ends and I store these facing down. If you are very picky with how you'd like to store them, keep that in mind. There are 96 markers here. That's a lot despite them being quite skinny in terms of space you'd need to store them. Personally no case I found with plastic inserts were long enough, and I didn't and don't have space for them to be sticking out of multiple holders. Because there are 96 markers and the cap ends are fatter, finding a container to even hold them in all in ONE was hard, again I had to find a food storage cylinder with an air tight cap worked out fine.Notes: the color of the marker is on the "butt" end and so the markers are stored upside down for me to see which color I am picking. Overall the indicator is usually true to the actual marker's color. I think these are recommended to be storied horizontally, but I have not had any issues. Other reviews have mentioned to be careful when re-capping the markers or you'll damage the brush tips, and I agree. It is true you need to be careful. I'd recommend these for kids 8+ years as long as the kids are careful and so are their friends!

Excellent Value, bright, clear colors.
This set is a fantastic addition to any artists collection of supplies. They can be used like a brush tip marker (keep in mind you won't get the same type of application of color due to difference in type of pigment, but the feel is similar), used like felt tip pens (with the ability to vary the line via pressure) as well as used like watercolors. You get best affect when you apply water TO the pigment you have laid down, or when using the pens on damp watercolor paper. I would not recommend dipping the pen tip itself into water as this seems to have the result of draining pigment from the tip and leaving you waiting until the reservoir refills the brush tip. Colors blend well and react in their blending and to water nearly identically to actual watercolor paint.Although I have not yet used every color in the pack, I have not yet encountered a dry pen. I'm enjoying these so much that when I saw they had a lightning deal on the set, I purchased a second set as I assume I will run out the current set fairly quickly with as much use as I am giving them :)One thing to keep in mind - and this is very important, not just for these, but for any drawing/painting supply - the paper you use WILL have a SIGNIFICANT impact on the quality of work you can produce. Can these be used in an adult coloring book? Sure, but expect some wrinkling or buckling of the paper as well as spotty lay down due to the usually inferior quality of coloring book sheets. Use these on quality mixed media paper or watercolor paper and the results are beautiful.UPDATE 1-23-18Just wanted to be sure to note that of the two sets of 96 which I have not a single one of them was dry. I tested each and every pen so that I would be able to honestly report. I am still amazed at how great these work and how much fun I have been having working with them. Highly recommended!

NIce watercolor pen but hard to determine colors
I like the watercolor brush pens and the color is very bright. However, some of the pens have a number / code which doesn't seem to map into the tutorials, and there is no corresponding color name.

Better than Tombow!
I've purchased quite a few sets of brush or bullet-tip water color markers, including expensive ones like Tombow and & karin, along with Ohuhu and other mid-range brands (I have a thing for watercolor inks!).I like these Arteza ones the best out of all my sets! They have a huge range of colors (although I'd prefer fewer blues and more brown tones), plenty of ink, sturdy brush tips and, most important, virtually every color dissolves in water really well. (for those not familiar: watercolor markers have this characteristic where not every color will dissolve in water & become 'watercolory'....for example, in my Karin set the grey tones just don't react in water...the other colors do but not the greys, other sets have this same issue). All of the Artezas move well in water, they layer & blend fairly well (so far nothing blends & moves as well as actual watercolor paints, the trade off is that watercolor paints don't have the clear vibrancy of watercolor markers, but Artezas are the best of the bunch, imo). And did I mention how many colors they come in??? I love having lots of colors to play with.So if you're in the market for watercolor markers - or if you're not sure they're for you so you don't want to commit a lot of $$ - I highly recommend these markers!! They're not just good markers for the price, they are good, good markers!
