The product itself was as described, except that it was missing a keyboard and mouse that were shown in the photos of the product, and also indicated in the questions and answers that these items were included. I contacted the seller and they promptly responded they would send those items out to me. So A+ for customer service. So presuming those items show up, my ranking will remain 5 star for this product and the seller. The computer itself was as described. Pulled it apart first thing to verify hardware. All there :) .... temporarily stealing a keyboard and mouse from another computer in my house, I booted up the PC. Quick boot up and windows setup went flawlessly (as it should).Depending on what your needs are, this is a snappy little PC and works well. With an included keyboard and mouse, assuming I will receive these, this is a steal of a deal. If you have expansion needs this is probably not for you as there are no real slots for that ... which for me, was not an issue, I love the small form factor, and the integrated graphics get the job done for my 10 year old son, as it runs microsoft office and other programs just fine for remote learning. Now this said, I wish they had an option to purchase this with a 240 GB SSD as opposed to the 120 GB SSD that comes with it. the 240GBs sell for like $27 on Amazon now, and only a few dollars more than the 120 SSD. But I do understand, you have to draw the line somewhere to keep the price point where it is at for sale, and in this case, the price is really good. I will likely clone up to a 240 GB drive for this little PC to get a bit more storage, but not a huge deal.So overall, good deal and I would buy again, even if the vendor did not include the keyboard and mouse, I would still contend this is a worth it. It would be nice if they updated the product description to more clearly reflect what is and or is not included with the box..... but hard to complain here. This is a solid product.

I ordered and returned this same model of computer from two other vendors on Amazon. I was about to give up, but decided to try one more time and this time I got a winner. The vendor was SKYTECH USA LLC. This little HP Elite 8300 ultra slim came well packaged, completely cleaned up inside and out, and was the correct model. It was a professional looking renewal from top to bottom.I had been planning on purchasing one of the new little Windows micro sized PCs, but the HP 8300 ultra slim was small enough to fit in my entertainment center, it is quiet and very capable as well as being upgradeable. The new tiny micro-PCs are much smaller and use a fraction of the electricity but they have just a fraction of the processing power that this old beast has.We have it hooked to our high definition TV using using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. Our TV is 3D capable and the computer supports 1080 3D output, so we can watch 3D content that we create ourselves and also download using this computer.We appreciate the very fast boot times provided by the SSD that came with this one. We have used the DVD drive to both watch movies and load drivers for the USB Bluetooth dongle that we added to use a handheld keyboard and touchpad.The first Amazon Renewed 8300 we purchased came from another vendor. It was poorly packaged, dented, scuffed and did not boot up. The second 8300 we purchased from another vendor was well packaged, looked good, and worked fine, but after I wasted considerable time getting it set up... I realized it was an 8200 which is older and a much less capable computer that is worth about half as much. So we feel very fortunate to have finally got a good one that is working perfectly for its intended purpose.

I've been very happy with this item so far. I purchased it from RefurbChoice to use as a Plex Media Server connected to my home LAN. Everything got setup pretty quickly with only a few minor adjustments for my purposes. I've seen some reviews with major issues but thankfully I didn't have any of them. With listings like these I feel like it's very important to choose which seller you buy from.Here's my full experience!Unboxing - I was, at first, a little concerned because it came in a pretty beat up standard amazon box but it was taped up well. When I opened the package all I saw was very mangled butcher paper. Not sure if it's why but this paper looked like it had been used and reused multiple times. I have no problem with that, mind you...If this is how they keep their costs down then yay for reusing packing materials! As I dug deep I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw the actual PC was wrapped in what looked like a thick sheet of packing bubbles that had been shrink wrapped around all the items. It was obvious at least some effort was given to packaging even if it wasn't the "prettiest" presentation. I don't really care about pretty as long as it's functional.Item Inspection - Next I took a look at the items. Everything looks almost new. The PC had a thin layer of shrink wrap on it to protect it from dust and everything had a faint smell of rubbing alcohol which suggested to me that it had been cleaned before packaging. No scratches or dents of note and the included keyboard and mouse looked new as well. All the advertised parts were installed and included (DVD drive, wireless usb dongle, power cord with block, all the right ports etc.) The only thing I noticed was that the DVD drive is a little wiggly and doesn't look like it's a perfect fit. But not so much that I think it will cause a problem. I'll probably open the PC up later and just make sure it's attached properly inside and no little screws came loose or something in transit. I'm also really excited about the size of this. It's half the size of the old PC I was using ad a media server and it fits in my entertainment center perfectly! It's also very quiet.Setup - Inside the box was a piece of paper with instructions on how to register windows and everything went smoothly. It was virtually plug and play. No trouble connecting to my wireless router or wired internet connection. All I needed to do was mess with the resolution a little because I was hooking this up to a television instead of a monitor. I installed Plex media server and mapped the external harddrive connected via my LAN.Final Thoughts - Overall this is a great PC for a great price. Easy to setup, looks nice, as advertised. The only thing I can think of that would have made this even better is if it had an HDMI port. It isn't a problem, I simply purchased a $6 Display port to HDMI cable and I was good to go. It's certainly not a deal breaker. Highly recommend this PC and this seller. Will certainly update my review if that changes.
