Got paranoid for no reason after some negative reviews...
I ordered this multi tool after reading lots of great reviews. Then after ordering, I continued reading reviews, and every 10 or 15 reviews, I'd see a bad one talking about handles not lining up, tools that couldn't be accessed or too hard to pull out, dull tools, non-working cutters, non-working scissors, cheap materials, and on and on. I began to get nervous that I had made a mistake by ordering, but I needn't have worried. The tool I got is dang near perfect. It's very easy to get all the tools out. It stays closed when I want it to and stays open when I want it to. I examined the metal tools under a magnifying glass with reading glasses on, and I saw none of the poor tooling, nicks in blades or dull and non-working tools that I read about. The build quality seems excellent to me, and all tools function as they should. I cannot say anything about longevity yet, as I only recently got them. So far, this is the best multi tool I have purchased, and I do have several. If it breaks easily or something else happens, I'll update this review. I'm sure there are some lemons, but I got a great one, and I'm going to order at least one more. My scissors work great, cutters work well, everything is smooth and feels exactly the way I want it to. And I paid full price for it...$25. Very happy so far. I would be nervous if I owned one of the name brand multi tool companies. These may not be AS good, but they are getting really close, and that will only continue. For the price, I certainly can't complain.

4 Star tool, made 5 stars by the price
WORKPRO 18-in-1 Multi ToolFunctionally, this is pretty much identical to a Leatherman - its overall design is strongly reminiscent of the Leatherman Wave, except that where the Wave has replaceable screwdriver tips, this has fixed ones. (I don't consider that a strike against - carrying around the tips is a pain, so min live in a drawer and I just use the defaults). This is a good design to copy, since the Wave is an absolute workhorse, and the addition of color to the body is actually quite well done. That said, it's very evident that it's a knock off. The action is stiff, and the arms are not quite as precisely placed. I got two of these, and while one of them is fine, on the other one, the saw blade folds in fractionally further, so it's kind of a hassle to pull it out. It's not a huge deal, and I suspect the action will get better with time and lubrication, but it's the small differences that distinguish the definitely 5-star Wave from a well made imitation.Normally, that would be the end of it, and this would be a 3 or 4 star review, depending how much the compromises impacted the product and how much confidence I have. In this case, it's 4 stars because my other big concern with something like this is that if they cheated out on the materials, rust is going to be a concern. However, I have gotten other products from workpro in the past, and have yet to see any evidence to that kind of corner cutting, so that would tip it over to 4 stars. However that would overlook what drew me to this model: the price. I got mine for $24.99, and this seems to be frequently marked down to $20. In contrast, the Wave is going to run you $100-$120 or more, depending on a number of factors. All of which is to say, this is a BARGAIN.For my specific scenario, we have emergency car kits, and one of the things I like to include is a good multi-tool. Unfortunately, good multi-tools are expensive, so I have previously compromised on fairly sketchy ones, because I absolutely cannot justify the cost of nice ones. But these are prices comparably to much sketchier products, and I have happily swapped them into the kits. For a multi-tool or knife that you intend to carry everywhere, I generally recommend spending a bit more for quality and reliability. Small annoyances that aren't a big deal when you test at home can be a real hassle in the sorts of unplanned situations where you need to have your tool on hand. So, if you'r looking for personal carry and you *can* afford better, I still recommend looking for it, but if you can't, then this is not a bad choice. At the price, it is also not a terrible choice for a kid's first "real" multi-tool before they have established the habits that leave you confident that they won't forget a $100 tool somewhere. And if what you're looking for is a backup or alternate multitool that you just want to stash somewhere you might need it, then this is pretty much the perfect package.(Re: color - I did the blue, and it looks good. Can't speak to the others, but I like that there's a variety in case I needed to distinguish between them)

Well Worth the Money
Pluses - This Multi-Tool is very budget-friendly. The tool fits comfortably in the hand and during operational use. It's versatile and would have scored higher with a bit driver. The pliers will cut wire, crimp, and grip really well. The pliers are spring-loaded. The knife is razor sharp. The serrated blade will cut through. The saw is average & binds. The back of the saw is excellent for fire steel. The phillips and the common driver had no problem with screws. The Scissors are sharp but not Victorinox sharp. The rope cutter will cut through paracord. The belt clip is strong and high.Minuses - The Scissors were loose, causing the Spring to click off track. Tightening the loose screws at the handle remedied this problem thus far. This tool is heavy and stiff.

Quality, Functionality and Purposefullness at a Quality Price
This is my go to multi-tool even over the more expensive brands. Don't let the inexpensive price scare you into buying a more expensive and well known brand. This puppy is the real deal. I've used it often and can't get over the sturdy functionality of this product. The only issue some might have with it is the weight of the product. However, if you utilize the carrying case strapped to your belt this would eliminate this issue. I tend to just use the built in clip and hook it to my cargo pants pocket. Also, the weight is a good indication to the quality and ruggedness of this tool. I've bought more than one and recommend you do the same. Have one for every day carry, one for each of your go bags and however many are necessary to give away as functional and purposeful gifts.

A bit heavy, but it works really well
Kind of reminds me of a lot of men wave but very budget. I am under the impression that I bought something comparable to a leather man in Quality however, for the price it’s a pretty awesome piece flyers work fine. Everything locks up nicely and the colors are nice. you will not find any better value for your dollar And if someone takes it you won’t be disappointed because it wasn’t that expensive that’s why I bought a second. One.
